About Me

FAMILY: ..
I'm blessed with a wonderful family, several great friends, and have finally found a good man. Life is good and I look forward to each new day. I'm self-employed; started my own karaoke/DJ business in 2005 after being a victim of down-sizing. Love what I do & meeting a lot of fun people. Visit my business site at www.myspace.com/divadivinekaraoke to view photo's of singers & schedule. Sense of humor and self-awareness are extremely important to me. A relationship should be 100% from each person, not 50/50. Even though sometimes sacrifices must be made to make it work you shouldn't have to lose yourself by giving up the things you enjoyed prior to the relationship, (unless it's a destructive habit). My pet peeves are Users, Losers and Abusers, moody people, dishonesty, procrastinators, gossipers, people who thrive on drama, and customer service representatives who can't speak English.

My Interests

MY MAN & FRIENDS: ..
MY DOGS: (I miss my Tigger) :( ..
Outside of the obvious (family, my man, friends & my dogs), I love music, dancing, traveling, art/photography & having a good time no matter where I am or who I'm with. Laughter is critical - It's what keeps us healthy & looking forward to another day. I also enjoy working with computer programs (photography & creating digital movies). I enjoy writing (poems, songs, blogs) when I'm inspired.

I'd like to meet:

People who are honest & have a sense of humor, along with the ability to enjoy the moment and make the best of any situation. Life's too short! As far as "famous" people: David Letterman, Jim Carrey, Steve Carell & Dane Cook.

Music:

As you can tell from my playlist, (if it's working), I love a wide variety of music - from ballads, rock, alternative, blues, hip-hop (not so much for the words, but for the beat) to some country (as long as the lyrics don't contain trucks, tractors, trains, tramps, trailers or ticks). There's good & bad in every genre. Exceptions: Techno/Disco songs that have the same repetitive background music through the entire song, polka's and/or any music with bagpipes or accordions. If I go to hell there will be a polka band playing 24/7 a techo version of "In Heaven There Is No Beer" with a guy on the bagpipes sitting in.

Movies:

Sling Blade / The Jerk / Dumb & Dumber / Meet The Parents/Fockers / My Cousin Vinny / Planes, Trains & Automobiles / Primal Fear / Crash / Grand Canyon / I Am Sam / When Harry Met Sally / Shrek / Finding Nemo / Toy Story (and just about anything that Edward Norton or Sean Penn are in)

Television:

I rarely watch t.v. but my favorites are: THE OFFICE / David Letterman / The Simpsons / King Of The Hill / The King Of Queens / Two & 1/2 Men / Friends / Reno 911 / Grey's Anatomy. I HATE shows that insult my intelligence, i.e. Jerry Springer, Maury Povich & reality t.v. shows. Where in the hell do they find these people on Springer/Povich? And how many frickin' DNA tests do you need? As far as the reality shows - How real can you be when there's a camera crew filming your every move?

Books:

I enjoy reading the cover page of the World Weekly News while standing in line at the grocery store: "Saddam & Osama Adopt a Shaved Ape Baby One Month After Their Gay Wedding" - "Aliens Move In And Take Over Trailer Park. There Goes The Neighborhood" - "Bat Boy Seen Again In New York Subway". And it all must be true because they have pictures!

Heroes:

Anyone who has sacrificed anything (from their time to their life) for another person or animal.
