About Me

Hi Friend....I'm your regular southern belle: born and raised in the south. Most of all, I value my faith, family and friends. I love my sweet tea and lazy days on the beach. I think my croakies are cool and I've been told I have a strong southern accent.
Its that time again, things are changing in my life. I am trying to finish up school at BU, and trying to work at the same time. I never thought those two words: school and work, would ever be in the same sentence!As soon as I finish school, in August, I plan on leaving Boston and head to California.
A few random things about me....I love to travel. I miss Scotland more than I ever thought was possible!!! I love spooning! I am obsessed with sunglasses (aviators or 70's grandma style). I love smiling--about everything or nothing at all. I love making someone else smile. I love getting off a plane and seeing someone you haven't seen in a long time.
I like to layer things. I like wearing things people don't expect me to. I like doing things people don't expect me to do, or think I can't/won't do. I like reading when its raining outside. I like to bake cookies. I like going to big stores--walking around forever--looking for nothing special and leaving with bags full of things. I like my feather pillows. I like to learn something new everyday. I like the thrill of being scared, but someone has to hold my hand while I watch a scary movie. I like being center-of-attention sometimes, but don't tell anyone.
I love buying things for my friends. I love dancing to 80s music. I love flasks--even though it isn't very lady-like to carry one. I love DVDs. I love getting snail mail (i love getting any kind of mail really).
I think I have something to learn from every person I meet. I believe everyone should take an exotic trip at least once in their life. I wish more people would let their inner-child shine through. If I could be anyone for an hour, I would be a 4 year old: sometimes I want to slow my world down and be reminded of how sweet the world looks through their eyes. I try to please everyone--I want people to be happy in life. I miss the innocence of high school...almost daily. I think arrogance is something that is learned, but not often mastered. I'll end on this random thought (for you tic-tac)....
On a final note...I'm understanding the importance of picking my battles wisely in life. You can't always trust everyone you want to: people let you down when you least expect them to. And after all the tears, I have learned I can never be too comfortable in life. With that said, I believe everything happens for a reason and sometimes we have to let fate take its course. I've taken some detours in life. It has taken awhile, but I am finally on the right road. I'm an awesome friend, but I don't put up with bullshit (no one should). Remember: Always look out for number one in life: its confidence--not arrogance.
