Screaming Heads

We started in the year 1993 under the name Argotic and played some sort of Alternative in a small, rented garage. Soon we realized this is not the way it was meant to be, so we changed our name, kept looking for new musical horizons and pulled out our very well received first demo, featuring the songs "A Goddamn Life" and "Intre prieteni".
With the addition of guitarist Toni Dijmarescu in 1995 we moved on to a more aggressive style. Our first album, "Traind degeaba" (Magnetotrans, 1996), which contained the 1 airplay hit "Ilie gardianul", was a unique mix of Metal, Hardcore, Punk and Grunge, combined with both English and Romanian lyrics and unusual guitar solos .
A solid fanbase was built soon after the release and we performed in front of large crowds all over the country, along with bands like Cargo, Voltaj, Celelalte Cuvinte, Tectonic, Implant Pentru Refuz, God, Psycho Symphony, Interitus Dei, Gothic or even with the Folk supergroup Pasarea Colibri. All that brought us a major deal with Electrecord Records.
That deal didn't worked out as well as we hoped, so our second release,"PNV" (1997), came out again on the Magnetotrans label. It brought us even more critical- and fan recognition. We were also featured on the East & Art Records live compilation "Top T 1996" with "Life Belongs To You", maybe our most epic song.
After a longer break we issued the "...A Real Live" EP in July 2006, the first release on our own label, SecondLife.
Screaming Heads has the "Top Artist" status of the Crossover genre on www.Rockdetector.com, the world's biggest rock music database.
