My name is Shadow the Hedgehog. I was once part of a top secret weapon but let me tell you the whole story.50 years ago Professor Gerald Robotnik was appointed to the space colony ark, Gerald was accompanied by his granddaughter Maria. Professor Geralds job was to make the world a better place through the power of science. His research took place on the ark because there were no distractions in space, no war, nothing bad. Behind the government and the American tax payers back Gerald started to developed a robot named emerl, emerl was a battle android. Emerl was made his way to earth soon enough, and the military, otherwise known as GUN, was threatened by emerl. Emerl soon brought the idea of the ultimate life forms, after 3 failure models, dr. Gerald created "Biolizard". It is true biolizard was the ultimate life form, but he was too powerful to control, so biolizard was marked as a failure, and was locked away in the core of the ark. When the professor was drawing plans for the 4 model of the ultimate life form, project: shadow, he came across a black comet. He was visited by black doom, the leader of a army of aliens known as the "black arms". The black arms were a race of aliens, they had tore their planet apart, and all that remained of the planet was the black comet. Gerald was impressed by black dooms power, black doom showed the professor a sample of his power, and how his blood could be used to control an army. Then it came to the professor, if he used Black doom's blood, maybe he could create the ultimate life form that could be controlled. Black doom was willing to make a deal with the professor, in exchange for the 7 chaos emeralds in 50 years, black doom would provide Gerald with some of his blood and DNA for "project shadow". The deal was made, and shadow the hedgehog Me was born, the ultimate life form. black doom was impressed by the results and so was Gerald. Soon black doom had to leave with his comet, and he would be back in 50 years. Gerald sensed that black doom was conspiring a plan on the planet earth, that would put everyone in danger, so he developed the eclipse cannon, the strongest weapon man kind had ever came with, it had the power to destroy an entire planet. The eclipse cannon would be used to destroy the black comet along with the black arms and black doom, but there was a twist, it could only be powered by the "7 chaos emeralds", in a few years I would be used to gather the 7 chaos emeralds and use the cannon on the black comet. While on the ark I formed a strong friendship with Maria, she was the mother I never had. Soon the GUN army found out about me and the eclipse cannon. They saw me and the eclipse cannon as a threat, so a wave of GUN soldiers were sent to the ark, their mission was to destroy all the research on project shadow, kill everyone on board, and shut down the eclipse cannon. They got on board, and started to kill everyone on board. Maria was being chased, she led me to the escape pod room. Maria knew her future was doomed, but not the people of earth, I was a chance to make the world a better place. Maria sent me in a pod and sent me down to earth, in the process she took a bullet for me. Maria died. Professor Gerald had been captured, everything he cared about was gone, all his research was gone. He began to go insane, and soon he made a video, in it he said "you ungrateful humans that took everything away from me, feel my wraft and despair", one day later professor Gerald died. I was hunted down by GUN, and was sent to the base to be imprisoned forever.50 years later I was awaken by Dr.Eggman. At that time I could not remember everything that happened. I did remember that the professor wanted revenge for what GUN did to him and that I was to carry out that revenge thats what stuck out in my mind the most. So I told Eggman that for releasing me I grant him one wish and to meet me on Space Colony Ark I showed him the eclipse cannon and told him about it so then we started to gather the 7 chaos emeralds. We ended up teaming up with Rouge the Bat and she helped us out. On the search for the chaos emeralds I met a blue hedgehog, he looked a lot like me. This was good, I could get my revenge on those humans with out GUN knowing who I'am. So all the crimes I committed were blamed on the blue hedgehog. So we gathered 6 of the emeralds the 7th one was held by the hedgehog and his friends. So Eggman dealed with them. We later found out that Rouge was a government spy sent by the president to find out information on project shadow, she did find out information I had forgot. Just as I was about to take care of Rouge Eggman told me there was someone trying to make it to the eclipse cannon and to take care of it so I was off. It was that blue hedgehog. It was shocking to see him still alive for the fact Eggman shot him into space in a exploding escape pod. you never cease to surprise me blue hedgehog, I thought that capsule you were in exploded in space" "well what can I say? I die hard!!!!" "I see, so theres more to you than just looking like me. What are you anyway?" "what you see, what you get, just a guy who loves adventure, I'm Sonic the Hedgehog" "o I see, but you know I can't let you live, you adventuring days are coming to an end!!" After all the words we fought then Sonic got away. Eggman had finally gotten the last chaos emerald. My revenge towards those ungrateful humans that took everything away from me was just beginning. The dawn of a new lord was just about to begin, the eggman empire was folding before us, and I would rule by Eggman's side. "My name is Shadow the Hedgehog, and I'm the worlds ULTIMATE LIFE FORM!!!!!" There was a problem after the eclipse cannon was activated, the energy of the chaos emeralds had caused the ship to lose orbit, and it was on a collision course to earth. This was both good and bad, I wouldnt be able to get my full revenge because the ark, the doctor, and the eclipse cannon would be destroyed, but in the process the ark would crash into a place within reach of the GUN army base, my revenge towards them was coming fast. "Maria I promised myself I would get revenge for your death, and I intend to keep it" The pink hedgehog, Amy rose came to me. She told me that she, sonic, and everyone needed my help to stop the collision, and she told me to give the humans a chance...to be happy. This reminded me of a promise to Maria I made, I had to save the earth at all costs. I made it to the core of the ship, where to where sonic and knuckles were, knuckles was going to use the master emeralds power to balance the power of chaos so the ark would go back in orbit. Then he came, biolizard, the first ultimate life form ever created. There was only one who could stop biolizard, me. I had to prove who the true ultimate was, and I ended up disabling his power supply on his back, so he wasnt so ultimate anymore. Biolizard warped out to the outside of the ship, his remaining power would help the collision. There was only one thing left to do, Super Shadow. Knuckles had to balance out the power of chaos, and then me and Sonic used the chaos emeralds to go into our super forms. It was a long tough battle in space, but in the end me and Sonic stopped biolizard. The ship was too far from orbit, so me and sonic had to use chaos control on the ship, and warp it back into orbit. I realized that my purpose was fulfilled, but sonic was still needed to the humans, I warped sonic back to the ark. "farewell Sonic, my fast blue friend, may we meet sometime again, someday." Maria I did it, I saved the humans, I gave them a chance to be happy again. You'd be proud. After that I fell into earth. I woke up 2 years later being released from a tube by a girl bat named rouge. At that time I got amnesia and had forgotten everything maybe cause when I fell to earth I hit the ground real hard and it made me lose my memory. A robot eggman made, omega was reactivated by his motion sensors when he was detecting rouge. After I escaped the tube I was being shot at by the robot, he said "must eliminate all of eggmans robots" Once I got rouge out of the way of omega's machine guns, the fight was about to get serious, but rouge broke it up. She wanted to see what happened to omega, he claimed that eggman locked him in a room. I could tell there was a glitch in him, he wasnt like eggman's other robots, he had a mind of his own. He hadn't remembered why eggman locked him in this room, maybe it was because he forgot what he was programmed for? Perhaps he was made to guard me while I was inside this tube, but what could be so special about me? I'm just a hedgehog. Rouge was talking about this place known as the ark, I had felt like Ive heard of that place somewhere before. I could remember bits and pieces of what happened to me before, I remember the name Maria, and I remember Doctor Eggman, but thats about it. At the time Rouge was looking for eggman's riches, but she wanted help in tracking eggman, so she made a deal with me and Omega. If we work together we'd all get what we want, Omega would get revenge on eggman, I might be able to uncover some answers about my past, and Rouge would be able to get eggmans treasures. We became "TEAM DARK". Omega and I were very competitive when we first joined forces, it was actually pretty fun, a friendship started from this. We ended up meeting these freaks along the line, a alligator(i think), a bug, and a lizard. They said something about us, team dark, being their clients adversaries. Wait I thought for a sec, they must be connected to eggman. Friends of eggmans are no friends of mine. I dont know why, but this eggman is really starting to piss me off. These freaks better stay out of my way. The fight was over, it turns out those freaks, the chaotix, are detectives and were assigned to track eggman. The doctor is pretty popular lately. Later on we ended up finding eggman, in a flying ship, "doctor who am I and why cant I remember my past?" "HAHA, shadow dont be silly you have no past". omega: "doctor eggman, I will destroy you and reign supreme". Omega, rouge, and I quickly beat the battleship. It was a fake eggman, a robot eggman, with a voice chip, heh, how pathetic he doesnt even have the nerve to face me. The ship crashed, then I spotted it, a broken metal version of me, that had busted in the crash. A shadow android, am. I an android too? Even if I am an android, its still me right? Who exactly was I before all this? In order to find the answers I have to find eggman. The chaotix mentioned something about a forest, which eggmans latest robots were spotted at, we better go check there. "lets go" I said to rouge and omega, we need to find eggman, I really need answers now. Then we left. we ran to continue the mission, Metal Sonic, of whom had been hiding under the disguise of Dr. Eggman the entire time, claimed that he had successfully copied the Ultimate Lifeform data , later revealed to be Shadow's D.N.A. As I continued my mission, I made the decision that "Even if I'm not real, I'm still the Ultimate Life-form, Shadow the Hedgehog!", indicating my memories are starting to surface. Afterwards, Rouge stumbled upon a room filled with hundreds of Shadow Clones. As Omega arrived to destroy the room and everything in it, Rouge affirmed her belief that I'am a robot. However, Omega reassured her that the original Shadow had to exist somewhere in order for Eggman to make copies. Rouge decided to stay with me while Omega destroyed the Clones inside the fortress. Later, Metal Sonic transformed into Metal Madness, I worked with Rouge, Omega, and the other teams to distract him long enough for Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles to power up into their Super Forms. They ended up defeating him and after the fight was all over I went off on my own. I stood outside of Westopolis thinking about what I did know about my past all I could remember was what my name was and that gruesome image of Maria getting shot. Another thing I wasn't sure about is what I'am. am I real or not. I happen to notice a dark cloud forming in the sky then the next thing I knew there were aliens falling from the sky attacking everything. I didnt see it as my problem so I started to walk away then a dark voice called my name. I turned around and there was Black doom at the time I didnt know who it was. I asked him who he was and how he knew me he didnt say he did say I promised to deliver the 7 chaos emeralds to him. After that he disappeared. Then I knew what I had to do!!! I had to get those chaos emeralds then I will find the secrets to my past so then I was off. I started off in westopolis and I found one of the chaos emeralds then I ran into Sonic.He asked me for my help to stop those black creatures the humans did look like they were in trouble so I helped him out and I found another chaos emerald. After that I ran into Black doom again he told me I didnt obey him and then he warped me to some weird looking place filled with ruins it didnt look familiar but I kept on going. I happen to run into Knuckles and he wanted help with the black aliens too so I helped him out for what Black doom did to me after that I used chaos control and I was back in the city. Sonic caught up with me and wanted to play I told him dont waste my time heh.Then black dooms eye showed up and told us that they found the third chaos emerald in that city then took off. Me and Sonic went after him the emerald was in one of their ships so me and Sonic destroyed it then black doom had taken it again we told him to give me the emerald but he refused. Then he sicked this creature on us called Black bull it had the chaos emerald. So me and Sonic fought it and got the third chaos emerald. I left sonic after that and made it to Circus park. Some place of Dr.Eggmans. I happen to notice Tails was in the sky in his airplane he had the 4th chaos emerald he ended up crashing. I said to myself this is going to be easier then I thought then ran off. I found Tails he wanted my help to get the rings back that Eggman stole. I helped him out and he gave me the 4th chaos emerald. I was going to one of the doctors computers, maybe there I would find answers about me on one of his computers. In one of the rooms I found the chaotix. They wanted to hack into Dr.Eggmans computer so I helped them out. Me and Espio found Eggman I asked him who I was but he told me theres nothing to tell I have no past it shocked me. Then Espio told me what he was saying wasnt true and he was just trying to trick me. So we fought him found another emerald and left cyberspace. I next found myself on prison island there I remembered that Dr. Eggman released me from there. Anyways I kept going. As I was I was thinking about why I couldnt remember anything everything started to go all black and the next thing I knew I was in space. Black doom appeared behind me and showed me the ark and told me a little about my past then when I warped back I was in another place of Eggmans. I looked around and then there HE was again Sonic. Not you again I said. He told me that they were on there way to the ark and he wanted me to go too. They were going because the black aliens were heading into space. So I went with him. After seeing a view of the ark again it gave me another memory this time I remembered me and Sonic were fighting together to save the world and I fell into earth I also remembered that Maria died. And thats all I remembered. Sonic came in the room and told me there was the 6th chaos emerald some where on the ark so he left and I went after him we raced to the emerald. While I was on the ark the aliens were messing everything up on earth and Black doom some how got to the eclipse cannon and shot it at the earth and blew up the white house. I was pissed. I happen to get another memory this time me and Maria were running and this big ship came and was going to kill me and Maria. When the memory was over I found myself in one of the rooms on the ark. Damn it I said what is going on with me all these memories the doctors actions and words. I just didnt know. Then this guy came up to me and put a gun up to me and said I killed his family and that the professor created me with Black doom then he almost shot me but I was too quick for him. I told him I will respectfully accept my fate but I need some time to discover the real truth and I walked off. After that I ran into the Doctor again. He told me to give him the chaos emeralds and he will spare my life he also said I was a great invention of his grandfathers past. I wouldnt give him the emeralds so then I had to fight him again. After that I caught up with sonic and we happen to see the black comet I had this feeling that thats where Black doom was so we made our way to the comet. Me and Sonic fought our way through and found our way to Black doom he said some words like saying we couldnt defeat him heh but me and Sonic showed him. After defeating him he disappeared and Sonic went to look for him and everyone else. After Sonic left I found the last chaos emerald. Finally I got all the chaos emeralds now I can uncover the truth about my past all of it. As I said that Black doom appeared from out of nowhere he wanted me to give him the chaos emeralds. Sonic and the others showed up and told me to give the emeralds to Sonic. I was confused. And then when I least expected it Black doom took the chaos emeralds from me and warped the Black comet to earth using chaos control. After that Black doom used this special gas that froze us so we couldnt move then he sent these baby aliens on us to eat us then took off. I didnt no what to do. I thought and thought then I realized what I had to do. I had to stop Black doom. I broke free from the gas and went after Black doom. Everyone was counting on me. I made my way to Black doom. When I made it to him he said some things then used mind control on me and had me to the ground. He told me that I was apart of him and that Im his DNA I didnt want to believe it. The Chaotix had been working on finding this video in the ark's computer system that the Professor made for me. They got it to work and played it for me. The professor told me everything. He said that the eclipse cannon was created to blow up the black comet and that it was up to me and only me to save man kind and thats why I was created to STOP Black doom. After seeing the video it gave me the confidence I needed. I broke free from Black dooms mind control. And began to attack him but he disappeared and transformed into Devil doom. He did happen to leave the chaos emeralds behind. Now it was time. I used the chaos emeralds to transform into Super Shadow and went after him.During the battle Dr. Eggman informed me that I'am in fact the original Shadow, rescued after the battle at the ARK by one of Eggman's robots. To tell you the truth I felt like I knew it was me all along. It was a tough long battle but I defeated Devil doom. After that I warped to the Black comet and used chaos control on it and warped it in front of the eclipse cannon and blew it to pieces. After that I went back to the ark and told my past good bye. Now that all thats over I can live my life as I want and be free. I chose to be a government agent. (THIS IS AN EVENT THAT HAPPEN THAT WAS ERASED FROM SHADOW'S AND EVERYONES MEMORY) Having decided to start a new life and put his past behind him, he is now a government agent. Shadow invades the base and finds Rouge in the midst of accomplishing her mission. They escape to the site that was formerly the castle of Soleanna's kings where they are confronted by Dr. Eggman, who attempts to retrieve his stolen property. Eggman's robots swoop down to attack, and in the heat of the battle, the Scepter of Darkness is completely shattered. With the seal crashed, Mephiles is freed. Resurrected in the likeness of Shadow through his shade, Mephiles the Dark introduces himself and hints at past history that the two shared. Mephiles, using a time warp, similar to Chaos Control, flings Shadow and Rouge to a future on the brink of collapse. When they arrive, they are first perplexed, but before long, they find some disturbing answers. Along the way, they find an inactive, dusty E-123 Omega, lying in stand-by mode for hundreds of years for an unknown reason. They discover that they are in the distant future, destroyed by the demon Iblis. Shadow and Rouge meet up with Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, who were sent to the future by Eggman's latest machine. Sonic and Shadow conclude that they must use Chaos Control to get home, and set out to locate the Chaos Emeralds. After a confrontation with Iblis, they succeed in finding two Chaos Emeralds and successfully create a time warp to the present. Sonic and company go back to their time, except for Shadow, who stays to confront Mephiles. Upon catching up with Mephiles, he reveals to Shadow that the humans, looking for someone to blame for the destruction of the Earth, saw Shadow responsible for the catastrophe. Shadow is hunted down, defeated, and trapped behind an energy seal. Mephiles tempts Shadow to join him to gain vengeance upon the humans, but Shadow refuses, at which point Mephiles transforms into his second form, a more powerful crystalline monster, and the two engage in battle. Rouge, in the present, realizes that Shadow is alone in the future fighting Mephiles, without a Chaos Emerald. She searches for E-123 Omega, gives him a Chaos Emerald, and tells him to sit and wait in stand-by mode until the distant future becomes the present, and to assist Shadow fighting Mephiles. Shadow, at Mephiles' mercy, is rescued by Omega, who gives him the Chaos Emerald and helps Shadow fight Mephiles. Defeated, Mephiles flees to the present through a time warp and Shadow and Omega follow him to the present. Omega pursues Mephiles, and Shadow finds Rouge, who informs him that Dr. Eggman is apparently searching for him. Shadow concludes that Eggman is searching for Mephiles, and goes to interview the doctor. Upon locating Eggman's base, Eggman tells him that, to understand why he wants Mephiles, Shadow must know about the accident that happened 10 years ago, the Solaris Project. Shadow then leaves only to find Sonic, who is under attack by Silver. Shadow rescues Sonic, who runs away with Princess Elise, and Shadow engages in a fight with Silver. Shadow is able to overcome him by freezing time so Silver cannot defend himself. Refusing to just be defeated, Silver also induces Chaos Control, to Shadow's shock. Shadow tells Silver that in order to understand more about Mephiles and Iblis, they would have to use the warp and witness the accident themselves. So the two of them, using the Emeralds, open a time warp to 10 years ago, the Solaris project. They witness the Solaris Project's failure at hand, and watch as Iblis and the original Mephiles, a dark puddle, emerge, opening Silver's eyes to Mephiles' deception. Duke Soleanna tells them that the demons must be sealed, so he gives Shadow the Scepter of Darkness. Shadow goes to capture Mephiles, and Silver goes to capture Iblis. It is here that Shadow finds out why Mephiles knows him; it was Shadow who sealed him in the Scepter of Darkness in the first place. With the demons sealed, Shadow leaves the Scepter in the past since he knew where it would end up in the present day. Silver and Shadow return and Shadow rushes off to find Rouge to tell her what he learned about Mephiles. Shadow finds Rouge, and tells her to find out what the Scepter of Darkness, Mephiles' seal, was made of, so they can create another one. Elsewhere, Omega has found Mephiles on the beach and defeats him once again, but Mephiles laughs and tells Omega that the reason he can defeat him so easily is because he was built to defeat Shadow later on. Omega acknowledges this truth and admits to Shadow and Rouge that he was the one that had to seal Shadow in the future. Shadow, Omega, and Rouge chase Mephiles to a desert temple with a new Scepter of Darkness, but the evil Mephiles has already found the yellow Chaos Emerald. After Shadow fights him and gains victory, Mephiles reverts back into his original form, a puddle of darkness. Shadow attempts to seal him in the new Scepter of Darkness, but it shatters and Mephiles is able to free himself. Mephiles reveals that what worked ten years ago no longer does because he is using Shadow's form. Mephiles uses his powers to summon a giant clone army of himself and he attempts, once again, to trick Shadow by convincing him that he is a fool for continuing to protect those who will eventually seal him away. In response, Shadow replies, "If the world chooses to become my enemy, I will fight like I always have!" Shadow removes his bracelets, and, in a huge burst of energy, defeats the Mephiles clones with his allies. Mephiles sporting an evil look as he seems prepared to finally fulfill the prophecy that will destroy the world. Using his Purple Emerald, Mephiles blinds the eyes of Sonic and Elise who were continuing their stroll from where Sonic's storyline left off, presumably. When they are distracted, Mephiles, rises from the ground and launches a beam (dubbed the "Dark Chaos Lance") that instantly impales and kills Sonic. After realizing that Sonic is dead, Elise cries, thus releasing Iblis. At this point, Mephiles is able to finally merge with Iblis, forming a new, super powerful entity known as Solaris who creates his own world to destroy time itself. Continuing from where Shadow's storyline left off, Shadow and his friends recover from their battle with the Mephiles clones and Shadow notices, in the corner of his eye, a Green and Yellow Chaos Emerald. These create a blinding flash that send Shadow, Rouge and Omega to a time-space rift formed by Solaris. Meanwhile, in Soleanna, Amy, Tails, and Knuckles notice a large bright light engulfing the city and as it does, they realize that they have also been teleported to the time-space rift where all of the previous levels in the game exist in the future. Amy is the first to spot Silver, who also has been teleported to this world from the Chaos Emeralds that Blaze used to seal both herself and Iblis in the future. Everyone, upon arriving, notices that everyone else has also been teleported to this strange world, even Dr. Eggman. As they try to understand what went wrong, Dr. Eggman reveals that Iblis' seal has been broken and everyone looks as they see a dead Sonic under the care of an upset Elise. After a few realizations, Eggman reveals that it can't be defeated just in the present since it exists in all timelines. Silver then suggests that they destroy Solaris all at once, but Shadow re-emphasizes the fact that it cannot be possible with Sonic gone. With Amy upset over Sonic's death and the impending doom, Elise recognizes a familiar Death wind in the air that makes her come to the realization that Sonic may not be dead yet. Silver, furthering Elise's observations, explains that they can use the Chaos Emeralds to revive him. After a lengthy search on the part of Tails, Knuckles, Omega, Amy, Silver, Shadow and Rouge, they find the Chaos Emeralds and revive Sonic, with Elise's kiss transforming him into Super Sonic. Super Sonic uses his power to transform Shadow and Silver into Super Shadow and Super Silver, respectively. Together, the three hedgehogs fight Solaris and successfully defeat him. Sonic, now out of his Super Form, travels with Elise to a point in the past where they find the "Flames of Disaster" and its birth. Elise realizes that if she puts out the Flames, Solaris will never exist, but that Sonic and Elise will never meet each other. Elise says she doesn't care what happens to the world, only that she will never know Sonic; but Sonic tells Elise to smile and she confidently puts out the "Flames of Disaster", eliminating Solaris from existence forever, resulting in a time reboot to the beginning during the Festival of the Sun. Elise is in her boat waving the audience as Sonic runs through the public, making Elise lose one of the feathers of her dress. A maid asks her if everything is alright, and Elise says that she thought someone was calling her. Another maid replies that it's just the wind, and Elise says that it might be but that it felt familiar somehow. Elise continues with the festival as Sonic watches her from a rooftop. (AS IT SAID TIME RESET IT SELF MAKING THE EVENTS THAT HAPPEN TO NEVER HAD HAPPENED)
