Trends and fads are definitely not present in the
musical stylings of Fight The Good Fight. While most
people these days seem to be starting "hardcore",
"post-hardcore" "apple-core" and any other type of
"core" band you can think of, Fight The Good Fight
took a different path. When Greg Lee's now defunct
band ReGardLess ended in the summer of 2006, he wasn't
ready for the music to stop. Instead of waiting for
musicians to magically show up, he actively pursued it
by calling his good friend Tim Meverden. Tim had been
in various bands for the 4 years prior to Fight The
Good Fight but was looking for something different,
something new, not borrowed or blue, and something
above the influence. What was needed was found the
first night Greg and Tim played together. "I knew we
had something when a song I had been trying to write
for over a year, 'Frosted Flakes' (a crowd favorite)
finally came together. Its catchy, upbeat, fun and
meaningful all at the same time. There aren't very
many bands who are going for that nowadays," says
front man Tim. As the song writing continued, so did
the creativity within the songs. With everything from
pop-rock, to spoken-word/folk based rhythms, to Celtic
melodies, to a reggae breakdown, Fight The Good Fight
is "keeping it real" by incorporating any and every
type of music that influences them. "We have very
eclectic tastes in music, and hope that is reflected
within our songs," says drummer Greg. With songs that
get stuck in your head and refuse to leave, along with
a unique stage show, strong convictions, and a
passionate desire to "rock the world for Jesus", you
can expect big things from Fight The Good Fight in the
near future.
