Cellardoor was finally formed overnight and underground in autumn 2005 after some very, very creepy sessions, an abandonment in the early line-up and paper walls of twisting sketches. Inspired by bands like: Strung Out, AFI, Alkaline Trio and The Lawrence Arms (just to name a few), all time drink´n dramas and our favourite horror movies we began writing songs somewhere between punk rock, emo and singer/songwriter stuff with a darker note in the lyrics and sound. In may 06 we played our first concert, followed by supporting shows for such great local bands like May The Force Be With You, Six Balls One and No Respite.
In late july we recorded a bunch of songs and finally released our first demo-ep called "Came The Dawn" (equal named to an episode of the legendary Tales From The Crypt series). In april 07 we have amplified our collection of spooky tones with two more songs (the maze and a damn sexy re-recording of overnight and underground). The final mixes of both gloomy lullabys are now -ready to listen- on our site, so check them out and leave a comment.
We also await you girls and boys at some of our shows, with features by a whole panopticon of obscurities like the amazing maze, the elephant man, the incredible sun catcher and a lot more insanities that you wouldn't even believe your eyes (promise).
