About Me

Album on now click ..As a music producer I feel it is my duty to leave no stones unturned when researching musical forms. Some people see music as a way of life. Some people see music as a bunch of frequencies. I like to think music in some ways can transform ones out look in life and music has been known to heal. We listen to music in all different forms and have access to different mediums to which it is delivered. I’m still of the belief that the more raw the better. Man and instruments? Man and technology? Which one is better? The way I see it is it is down to the individual’s experience. Some songs when you hear them live with a band will make you weep, some lyrics will think of your life in a different way. When you are at a party for example and a DJ is playing music using the turntables. You will experience a different sensation, a bodily sensation that cannot be described or replicated.I encourage the young artists to develop themselves and go on a self journey that will discover what they are all about. To me it’s not enough to just play an instrument; you have to feel what you’re playing and give your self totally to your art from. I always tell my DJ’s it’s not enough to just play; I want them to give the audience an experience they will not forget. I encourage the Rappers/MCs to be heard because I’m a firm believer that when you hold a microphone you are in charge and in power of what you say and how you deliver what you want to get across. We have artist that are using Myspace.com as a platform to showcase what they have been working on via Miskin records.Using the turntables is an art form that year by year is gaining recognition. As a DJ myself I’ve played all over the UK in top venues. I’ve used DJ’ing in theatre productions and dance shows. In one way you’re your own orchestra conducting your own symphonyI believe hip-hop culture can be used as a vehicle for ministry to young people. There are aspects of hip-hop culture, such as gangsta rap, about which it's debatable whether they can be redeemed for godly purposes; but there are many ways in which hip-hop culture calls us to revisit how we present the truth of the gospel to young people today. That fact that hiphop encompasses dance, beats, and rhythm should help us rethink how we approach praise and worship. Rap and graffiti can assist us in exploring new ways of presenting the gospel creatively through spoken word, poetry, painting, and aerosol art. The fact that hip-hop as culture deals with the lives of underclass people groups should lead us to discussions on the approaches Jesus used in dealing with the poor, the hurting, and the outcasts of his day.Even the controversial sides of hip-hop can force us to get real with young people on issues such as sex, violence, poverty, racism, and sexism. Hip-hop can be used to explore other cultures and ethnic groups and to get in better touch with your own. When one sees hip-hop as culture and not just rap music, new doors are opened for how we become learners, observers, and missionaries to those in the culture and those influenced by it. It allows us in contemporary culture to be as Paul was when he addressed the altars built to unknown gods and used them as vehicles to present the true God who can be known intimately through Christ Jesus.Myspace Layout Stealer Pimp Myspace
