pomegranate summers feel like breezy days

About Me

"Pomegranates feel like the summer days.."Born in the big city of Chicago, Illinois, but growing up in a little town in Washington, Agana escaped the painful pressures of flute playing after 3 years, and realized that playing the flute was no longer what she wanted to do. A new intrest arose at the age of 13 that triggered her to be accustomed to the guitar. As a new member to her junior high jazzband, inexperienced with every such aspect to playing the guitar, a majority of her guitar skills arose from self-taught lessons. Jazzband and a semester of guitar class did contribute, but not entirely. Immediately she began writing songs at age 14. At age 14 in 2004, she performed her 1st orginal composition called "Pitstops At Chances" with her side-by-side guitar buddy for the 2005 talent show. At age 15 in 2006, she performed her 1st well-known song titled, "One Day"-- (being released in her 2008 EP, "One Day") at her school talent show. In the Spring of 2004, she combined with a couple of her classmates to form her first band, "Viresence," where she was positioned lead singer/guitarist & song writer. Difficulties arose which forced the band to split. But in the Fall of 2005, her and several of her comrades started a new band called, "The Blue Channel." Several months later the band split, with all songs worked on left to lay on the floor. Late in 2006, she decided the band life was just not for her and started a solo-artist band named, "Finding Skylir." Her biggest performance took place at her high school's 2007 Cksd Battle of the Bands in early May. Her first show with other performing local artists-- booked by her, took place on December 29, 2007. Her most influential artists/bands were Michelle Branch, Taking Back Sunday (2004-05), Story of the Year (2004), & Good Charlotte (2003).
