I don't remember the date, or the time. Or even the year. But it was somewhere, someday amidst my "growing up" that I took a look down at the guitar in my arms and thought, "This is what I wanna do." Of course the rarity of knowing exactly what you want in life at 10 years old is - well, rare. It's been several years now and I still feel the same way.
"To be a singer-songwriter - it's like a perfect storm. So many things have to come together. You've got to have a freakin' good voice. You have to be able to write tunes - decent tunes. You have to be able to get up on stage and perform them, and then you've gotta be able to play something. It's rare that those four things turn out something great ..but you get somebody like Corey Balsamo, and it all comes together in a perfect storm."
