My name's Phil.. if you haven't noticed. I live in the Chicagoland area and love it here.. except for maybe the winters here. They definately are something you have to get used to. And even then you find yourself saying "Damn it's cold". I would probably consider living somewhere else, but love being near my family. :)
I've been with my fiancee Leah for nearly five years. We've been through good and bad times, more good than bad. And whenever it's bad, we get through it together. Our lives revolve around eachother, giving everything we've got into this relationship. Because I've learned over the past couple years that it takes more than just saying you love someone to make a relationship work. You have to show them everyday. You have to give them every bit of you. No holding back. Love that isn't complete, isn't love. I love you Leah, and I can't wait for our dreams to start coming true.. all the things that we hope for in life. I wan't to make all that happen for us. I want to love you for the rest of your life.
I drive semi-trucks at Conway Central Express in Melrose Park, making nearly 20 dollars an hour. Pretty good pay. I could have done more with my life, but my hatred of school made things hard for me. I think I have a problem with a authority. That's why this job suits me well.. I'm on my own all day and only have to check in every so often.
Other than that I think I'm a pretty likeable guy. I care for people and will go out of my way for you if I truly care about you or think you're a good person. I have a hard time accepting the recipriation of that. I grew up playing every sport there was when I was a kid, and it continued as I grew up. Even now I'd be the first person to say yes to a basketball game, baseball game. Whatever. I'm a very competitive person, deep down I want to win, everytime. Losing isn't an option lol. And sometimes being so competitive can be a downfall. Letting little things get under my skin and instead of letting it go, I dwell on it and instead of having my head in the game, its elsewhere. You can be a good loser, but you don't have to like it.
The only people you can count on are your loved ones. I've learned this the hard way. I've got friends I trust explicitly but there are times when people let you down. And that's ok, learn from it and move on. People are going to let you down, it's life. People are going to put you down, push you down, and try and hold you back in life. You have to fight it and not let what they do or say matter. Because if you do, they've already won. People aren't as nice or caring as the world would like us to think. The sooner you figure that out, the better off you'll be. It's a sad fact. The world can be a shitty place to live, but again, it's all what you make it. If you put no effort in, you'll get nothing back.
