Mooco aka "Lic Shots"

About Me

Lic Shots "Laundromat" ..MOOCO aka LIC SHOTSThe world of hip-hop is changing, but there are still some vets out there holding it down, representing the Golden Age of Hip Hop music. Enter Mooco aka L.I.C. S.H.O.T.S. - one of the realest mc’s ever, soon to release his first solo album “Time Waits for No Man”, and representing B-MORE to the fullest.“Look. Identify Closely. Shit’s Hot On These Streetz.”Often referred to as “The Vet”, Mooco has been on the underground hip-hop scene for over a decade. Formerly of Rezavoir Dawgs and currently a member of Point 45 with Trauma and the Legendary DJ BOOMAN, he’s no stranger to the underground hip-hop scene. You may have spotted him performing on Underground TV, winning first place in a talent search, or maybe even heard him on some ill hip-hop collabo. Now, he just wants to be heard by all. His style – dynamic, raw, bringing that original KNOKVILLE flavor that makes you feel it, and feel good when you hear it. L.I.C. S.H.O.T.S. delivers swift, highly melodic lyrics that take hold of you, and won’t let up until the song is over.“I’m that R-E-A-L, never ran never will SHOTS is the name, four five and we do it well; Y’all on the corner tryina S-E double L; Me? I’m on the grind, tryina make that legal paper trail.”Inspired by the most official artists to ever hold a mic – KRSOne, Rakim, The Loxx - this artist prides himself in the attention he pays to detail, and says “I apply that in every area in my life – period.” It definitely shows in his music. There is true irony in his story. He grew up hard, and didn’t have his father around; but survived that only to end up taking care of his father through his last days. It has taught him a life lesson that anyone can appreciate. He learned not to give up so easy, and to be responsible as a man and as an artist in the messages he delivers in his songs. “It’s about the struggle,” he says, “not having enough resources, enough means…learning how to deal with pressures of drugs, money, sex, violence.”Singles like “Bounce” featuring Golden Seal and “Laundromat” will have you bobbing your head to the bass – the tracks are phenomenal- but you’ll be listening closely to the realness of the lyrics, as well. Through his vocals, L.I.C. S.H.O.T.S. is telling us a story, oftentimes our own story. He speaks as a real man AND as a real mc, under pressure and trying to survive. Born and raised “Over West” in Baltimore City, he definitely speaks from experience. When asked about growing up in Baltimore, Mooco replied, “shit is real. Baltimore is real live.” Enough said.LIC SHOTS is currently promoting the 2007 release of his solo album on DJ BOOMAN’s “BOSSTALK MIXTAPE/DVD and on BOSSTALK Radio.
