.. 1° step : At First, Dave, Cyril and Damien had been playing the music for a few months ( a little longer for Dave and Cyril) when they decided to name the band OMAINEN Omaïnen means "with voices" in Quenya, an elven language stemming from Tolkien's genius.
A few little songs came out of this; The most important to us remained to have great time with true friends... 2° step: During summer 2001-2002, the band kind of splitted : Dave went to Reims while Cyril got to go to centre Paris. Damien got a job. However Omaïnen survived thru Damien and Rude's musical activism. Thus at that time, Rude, an old mate, decided to join the band.
A crappily and unrehearsed gig closed a very chaotic musical year... 3° step : In the following months, Omaïnen rehearses a couple of times before starting looking for THE studio (of their dreams). Once found, the band moved to Combs La Ville, the city where their dreams came true. They took advantage of this period to settle their style : it was to become Heavy Metal with balls, say Power Heavy Metal. This time of great Happiness would last a few months, milestoned by a first studio recording. However the atmosphere around the studio started getting bad and we decided to move again. Only two gigs allowed the band to test their songs in real live conditions : a "fête de la musique" in Vaux-le-Pénil in 2003 and a "tremplin zik" in May 2004... 4° step : Omaïnen started rehearsing at "l'Empreinte" in Savigny-le-Temple. A few gigs in 2005 and the wish to record some brand new material in early 2006 !.. 5° step : The band recorded their first studio CD : a five titles CD named Death of the Nations ...tbcMySpace Profile Help!
