My Interests

.. HockeyHunting, & Fishing..Why we need to end the War on Drugs: We have been at this for 40 years. People are disappearing into our prisons and the drugs are still on the streets. If Government would tax and regulate drugs it would take control out of the dealers' hands. As of now, they decide how powerful these drugs are, where they will be sold, and who they will sell to. The WAR ON DRUGS creates crime on our streets and corruption in Law Enforcement. We can’t keep drugs out of maximum security prisons. How do you expect to keep average free citizens from them? In order to stop the people from using drugs, you would have to violate many of there rights on a very wide scale to accomplish anything effective. Remember alcohol prohibition? It did not work. It created crime and made it easier to get alcohol because everyone and anyone could make it and sell it. Drug prohibition is doing the very same thing. We spend 69 billion tax dollars a year on this war on drugs, imprison 2 million people a year for drug addiction, and deprive them of Life, Liberty, and Happiness. You call this an effective policy? WHY? The framers of our CONSTITUTION intended Government to protect us from each other. Not for Government to protect us from ourselves. We have the freedom to choose to do whatever we want to our own bodies as long as we don't harm others or use force on others. It's all about consent. Government is saying to see it their way, or they will force us to see it their way. PLEASE don't worry about what others do to themselves. That is why they are individuals. Drugs will always be around, but the crime and corruption could end today if we TAX AND REGULATE THESE DRUGS. Plus, it would make it a lot harder for kids to get drugs. Face it-dealers don't care who they sell to. Isn't it time Law Enforcement got the respect they deserve from the citizens?
