Yes, I am sweet and innocent (most of the time!). I grew up in New Hampshire and am definitely an East Coaster. I LOVE the Red Sox and Patriots.
I tend to be the person everyone talks to and I'm okay with that. I love to host dinner parties and make people feel at home and welcome. My dad comes from a long line of farmers and my mom comes from wonderful Italian stock...so I ended up with a mix of "good home, family style" qualities. I've butchered a cow and can clean my own fish, but can also give you a makeover. I'm fairly athletic...can snowboard and wakeboard (enough to get my by) and would live to try kite-boarding if i can find the time. You may also find me on the marina greens playing volleyball on those sunny Sunday afternoons. And I'm an actor.
I'm definitely an optimist - lots of smiles included (my friend Christian calls me "naturally caffeinated). I have a big, wonderful, obnoxious monster of a dog (Ramsey) who provides continuous entertainment...it is a requirement to like him if we're to be great friends. I do have a cat too (Kielee), though only a few friends have actually ever witnessed her existence.
Original green gatorade is the way to go (those new flavors are just weird). And shopping is not in my list of things to do..now if someone else does it for me and I just have to try stuff on, well that is a different story. and I'm not allowed into home goods stores or I'll break the bank. I'm definitely a Gemini.
As for acting, it is my passion. I started in 5th grade and acted through college..then took a few years off (a total mistake). So I've been back in the acting biz for the last couple of years. I've and been involved in several stage productions, short films (two are posted up here somewhere) and participated in my first feature length film called Canary (http://www.canariemovie.com). I'd like to get into more print work and film work...and of course I will always love the stage. I love it!!!
Family is very important to me. While most of them are in New England...I keep in touch. My parents are still married and still in love (they are so cute). I'm very close with my sister as well. I feel so lucky and blessed to have had such an amazing childhood and appreciate all my parents did to let me take advantage of every opportunity and new experience. At the end of the day...it's your family that is still there, loving and supporting you.
So really, I'm just a normal girl finding her way in this crazy yet amazing world. Pursuing dreams, discovering passions, enjoying friendships and understanding what is really important when it comes right down to it. And one of these days i'll figure it all out!

My Interests

Acting (www.actorstheatresf.org), Volleyball, Snowboarding, Wakeboarding (when I can find someone with a boat!)..anything on the water. I love to try new things...I jumped out of a plane...so almost anything goes...random invites to things that are new are welcome!

I'd like to meet:

I love to meet people who go for their dreams....they inspire me. Anyone who wants to go see a show or a baseball game is encouraged... Red Sox fans and artists preferred!!! And I've discovered that I'm somewhat clarsentient. I love meeting others who have accessed the old talents and abilities or even those who just like talking about it. The world is an amazing place and we only see a small percentage of what is really there.

And for a potential partner in life...well someone to laugh and have fun with. Someone who has his own passions and interests, but also supports mine (like being okay with me dragging you to help build a set at the theater). Believes chivalry is not dead, but won't suffocate me. Spontaneous and adventurous, but also okay with quiet evenings in watching a movie or making dinner. Honest. Trusting. Not jealous. Food fights in the rain, giving in to moments of random crazy passion, drinking wine in the grass and telling stories. Youthful, positive, high on life. A best friend with all the passion included.... :)

I also have this idea that men should be able to build stuff. If you were the last man on earth..could you survive? Hands. I love hands; hands that can bend and mold and create, protective but also gentle hands. And if you can play the guitar...well, i may be swept away.

Music:

Why I am I kidding myself..I can barely work my IPod - if someone else uploaded the music, I listen to it...except rap, not really into that.

Movies:

All of them. Favorites - Casablanca, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Godfather (all of them), Fox and the Hound, Goonies, Labyrinth, Never Ending Story, The Secret of NIMH the Dark Crystal, Lawrence of Arabia, 9 1/2 weeks, ...and of course "Phaedra", the movie I was named after. I'm also a Harry Potter fan. I'm currently working my way through the AFI's best 100 movies of all time...

Television:

Do Red Sox games count? And Grey's anatomy. Other than that, if I have a moment to turn the TV on, it's usually TCM or other movie channels.

Books:

Anything by Ayn Rand - especially The Fountainhead. The Mists of Avalon, Outlander Series, Colleen McCullough, Margaret George, plays.... I am ALWAYS looking for something new to read. And waiting for book 12 of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series to come out.

Heroes:

Superwoman of course. But seriously...all those who believe the obstacles in life can be overcome, all those who believe in love, those who have been put to the test and are still positive. My Mom. My Dad. My little niece who beat cancer.
