About Me
The facade of candy coated anthems that many Artists' are delivering these days can easily be mistaken as R&B. "Rhythm and Blues"..... The pulse of the track is definitely felt thanks to the producers, but what about the Realness? What about the Struggle? What about the Pain? What about the Blues?.... One thing that I'm promising to deliver is the Soul... the Psyche... the Essence and Life that has always been adorned and felt in music! Born and reared in the town of B-more, the craving for the melody came early on. Initially, a 4th member of the girl group, "Xtacy", I started performing at local spots with the group at age 13 mimicking the lyrics of girl groups such as Xscape, SWV, Jade and many others. Once the dissolution of the group came about due to others lack of motivation and finally interest, music was put on the back burner, but always the center of my heart. Though my "girls" was no longer around, interest in my writing grew stronger. With the experiences of witnessing the abuse of my mother, fishing through the phony individuals, a mortifying relationship,raising a child,the challenges of putting myself through college, and making moves to make sure I dig my feet into this music and modeling... I definitely knew what was needed to talk about. "My life experiences provide so much life to my music" With an ear close to old school love's like Phyllis Hyman, and elevating with the pains of Mary J. Blige, Lauryn Hill, Jaguar Wright and a host of other influential artists, I know that the Realness is the only thing to come with; it is the only thing that impresses the people. The hustle of getting my music out has been a tremendous struggle, considering the accounts of other's misdirection(s) and even loss of my own faith but the best of me has prevailed and yet to come.Much Shout outs and Blessings to my family The Allocated Group, Inc.
