Lin Strong

Born 1965 to Jamaican parents, in Leeds England. Lin Strong grew up influenced by many styles of music, but sticking true to his Jamaican roots he clung to the sounds which emulated from the Blues dances and dance halls of northern England. Lin Strong comes from a singing family,so he has been singing from a very early age. His first stage performance was at the tender age of 4, he also studied jazz and the classics at the Leeds city college of music. No stranger to performing, Lin Strong blessed many local venues,talent shows etc; but it was as a dancehall D.J. he came into his own. Chatting on sounds like Maverick and Ambassador. Strong left the UK at the age of 16 and moved to Bronx New York. He didn't hesitate one bit but jumped right into the New York reggae scene. Finding the DJ scene a little bit too crowded, he chose to revert back to his singing roots. The rest as they say is history. Lin Strong continues to write and perform his own unique style of music reflecting his, British upbringing, his Jamaican heritige and his Rasta roots.JAH BLESS
