I was born 02 March 1966 in a doctor's office in downtown Bayou La Batre, AL. Yes, the town really does exist. It isn't something made-up by hollywood for the movie Forrest Gump. My father is a commercial fisherman(shrimping boat captain.) I spent most of my time either on the boat, or at the race track. We would go to the round track on Saturday night in Irvington, and on Sundays we would go to the drag strip on Dauphin Island. My mother worked in a seafood processing plant to help put me through catholic school. I attended Saint Margaret's Catholic School in Bayou La Batre grades K-6, First Independent Methodist School in Mobile grades 7 & 8, Alba High School in Bayou La Batre grade 9, and First Independent Methodist School grades 10-12. I graduated high school on 18 May 1984. My mother claims she put me infront of the t.v. when man first landed on the moon in 1969, but I don't remember it. In 1976 I made my first trip to California. I went to San Diego with my grandparents for a Marine Corps Reunion. I got to visit the zoo and Sea World. On the way home we went to the Sequoia National Forest, Las Vegas, Glen Canyon Dam in Page, AZ, and the Grand Canyon. We also made stops at several of the indian reservations. In 1984 I went to the Worlds Fair in New Orleans. In 1986 I went to Alaska, and came back by Vancouver, B.C. Canada. I went to the Worlds Fair in Vancouver. I guess you could say I am lucky to have grandparents that would take their young grandchild all over the U.S. and Canada. I was married in 1999. My wife is from Reynosa, Mexico. Our son was born in 2000. We try to get to Mexico at least once a year. With the way gas prices are now it's getting harder to travel.
