A little bit of everything... Some of my favorite artists include Billy Joel, Joan Jett, Social Distortion, Bad Religion, Weezer, Reba, Tanya Tucker, Reverend Horton Heat, Sarah Brightman, Dixie Chicks, SheDaisy, Gary Allan, Transplants, George Strait, The Clash, The Ramones, Reel Big Fish, Pietasters, Letters to Cleo, Three Bad Jacks, Cowboy Junkies, Neal McCoy, Zona Jones, and The Pixies.
I really enjoy reading but I've been going a mile a minute lately and haven't gotten the chance to do much of it. My favorite genre is "Chic Lit". No, that isn't just a pretty name for literary smut...it's a collection of modern, sassy writers that use wit when authoring their stories. This leaves a reader feeling more like they are reading a friend's diary as oposed to a lengthy book. A few of my favs are The Devil Wears Prada, Shopaholic (series), The Nanny Diaries, and Mr. Maybe. I promise I'm not an air head...a few of my more serious reads are The Five People you Meet in Heaven, DaVinci Code, Lovely Bones, chapters from school books (yuck), my monthly copy of Marie Claire (yes, there are real articles in there), and the ocassional news paper.
To me, a hero isn't defined as someone that accomplishes a single task or feat... I think that anyone that lives their life to the fullest and is a truly good person is worthy of the label. With this being said, I would have to say that my mom is one of the most heroic people that I know. I'd be proud to "grow up" to be just like her (well, minus the audiobook addiction).
