Open Your Mind--Not Just Your Mouth.

About Me

Pretty sure that I am called a lot of things, but I really do prefer Chris. Guess you could say that I am an enigma of sorts. Ever changing. Evolving--that's the word. My favourite quote comes to mind: "Life is not about finding yourself--Life is about creating yourself." Unknown

I'll admit, I really don't care much for these "About Me" sections(Yes, I may be a little vain at times--(who isn't?), but that doesn't necessarily mean I like to talk about myself). Besides, I wouldn't even know where to begin. I will say this though--I am a good guy(I hope anyway. Or at least just a good guy with bad intentions.), who more often than not, takes life too seriously. Unfortunately, this usually comes across as snobbish/stuck up, but nothing could be further from the truth. And with that, if you would like to know more--all you really gotta do is ask!

Cheers!

My Interests

The Most Beautiful Souls Walking This Earth .

I'd like to meet:

Alright! It must be time for what appears to have become the ultimate cliché: "I would like to meet some interesting people." But seriously, I would like to find someone who loves great conversation, but can also Enjoy The Silence. Someone who's interests include travel, the art's, furniture, architecture, fine wine, good beer & food. Somebody who can teach me something new or just make me laugh (Don't do enough of that, it seems). Oh, and anybody that happens to know the "True" meaning of life. (Not that I'd necessarily believe you--just thought I'd throw it out there.) Go ahead and ponder this for awhile. I know you want to.

Walking In My Shoes by Depeche Mode
I would tell you about the things
They put me through
The pain I've been subjected to
But the Lord himself would blush
The countless feasts laid at my feet
Forbidden fruits for me to eat
But I think your pulse would start to rush

Now I'm not looking for absolution
Forgiveness for the things I do
But before you come to any conclusions
Try walking in my shoes
Try walking in my shoes

You'll stumble in my footsteps
Keep the same appointments I kept
If you try walking in my shoes
If you try walking in my shoes

Morality would frown upon
Decency look down upon
The scapegoat fate's made of me
But I promise now, my judge and jurors
My intentions couldn't have been purer
My case is easy to see

I'm not looking for a clearer conscience
Peace of mind after what I've been through
And before we talk of any repentance
Try walking in my shoes
Try walking in my shoes

You'll stumble in my footsteps
Keep the same appointments I kept
If you try walking in my shoes
If you try walking in my shoes
Try walking in my shoes

Now I'm not looking for absolution
Forgiveness for the things I do
But before you come to any conclusions
Try walking in my shoes
Try walking in my shoes

You'll stumble in my footsteps
Keep the same appointments I kept
If you try walking in my shoes

You'll stumble in my footsteps
Keep the same appointments I kept
If you try walking in my shoes
Try walking in my shoes
If you try walking in my shoes
Try walking in my shoes

Music:

The Universal Language . I'll Just Put It This Way :

Movies:

In Absolutely No Particular Order :

SAW series (Love'em!!!), Hostel I & II, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Donnie Darko, Schindlers List, Easy Rider, Boogie Nights, The Devils Rejects, SuperFly, Roman Polanski's "The Tenant", Wizard of Oz, adult films, Almost Famous, Apocalypse Now, Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange", Natural Born Killers, The Blues Brothers, 30 Days of Night, Ferris Bueller, The Breakfast Club, Young Guns. Did I mention adult films? Oliver Stone's "The Doors", Ray, Woodstock('69), Rocky Horror Picture Show, Full Metal Jacket("Looks to me like the best part of you ran down the crack of your momma's ass and ended up as a brown stain on the mattress. I think ya been cheated!"), anything by Quentin Tarantino or Tim Burton, documentaries--especially music documentaries. WWII and Vietnam footage(history nut). Classic black & white's. Old Kung-Fu films(absolute favourite being Enter the Dragon). This list could go on and on, but I won't allow it to. OK, two more. Anything with Edward Norton or Christopher Walken.

Television:

L.A, Miami & London Ink!! Thee Law & Order trifecta. Never seem to get tired of those. CSI's!! Las Vegas, Boston Legal, House, Bones, Prison Break, My Name Is Earl, The Office[UK & US], Jay Leno, SNL. Pretty much anything on PBS. Are You Being Served?[UK], Keeping Up Appearances[UK], Masterpiece Theatre[UK], Monty Python's Flying Circus, BBC News, Globe Trekker. Charlie Rose anybody? Can anybody tell me why there is such an obsession with "Reality" T.V.? Are we that detached from our own lives that we have to subject ourselves to watching others'(albeit false)? Aside from Project Runway, anything on the Food Network (except Rachael Ray!!!), Travel Channel, Discovery Channel & the History Channel, the rest it seems is just silly. Oh, don't get upset, I know there are a couple of others, but T.V. really has gone to hell. What ever happened to the good old days of television?

Books:

Just too many books to list. Basically, if it has words, I'll read it. I am addicted to reading. Am rather partial to biographies, though. I guess I like to know what makes people tick or what has made them become who they are.(Do not even think of asking, "Well why then, do you dislike "Reality" T.V. so much?) Must throw in a fictional story now and then, just to see how it plays out in the mind.(The world's greatest movie theatre, you know.) Plus anything ever written by Hunter S. Thompson(R.I.P Gonzo). The guy was a literary genius. Another great author is Chuck Klosterman-originally from western North Dakota, he moved to NY and became a writer for SPIN magazine. "The F Word". Just a really fun read. The amount of research put into writing this book is unfathomable.

Heroes:

My Mother and my Grandfather. Truly amazing people. (That really has to be the understatement of the century!)
