Look at him, half Iago, half Fu Manchu, ALL bastard!

About Me

I share my name with the notorius russian villian, brigand and philanderer of Russian past, Rasputin. No longer a student, yet in reality, still smoking cigarettes. My best friend is a troll whom i met drinking. People say that if I don't like you, you are not worth liking, so be nice to me...

My Interests

Smoking cigarettes, people, music, chit-chat, hippys , females, books, movies, theatre, drinking, food, wine, the interweb, Michael Palin, having opinions on just about everything, having a fascination with travelling to Africa in the near future, often found drinking in indie bars with my troll, the internet (my friend) , World of Warcraft burlesque. the ages gone by. Tudor, Medieval, Georgian Opium Dens? I want to frequent the vesuvius club

I'd like to meet:

Grigori Rasputin

Music:

[insert list of indie and rock bands here] + leonard cohen

Movies:

Pans Labyrinth , american beauty, blade runner, LA Confidential, the big sleep, casablanca. Fight Club, American History X, Sin City, just lots of awesome films really. I generally despise weak plots, or those films that base their entire value around badly woven shocks or twists. I thought that "brother where art thou" was atrocious. I make an exception for the "Hudsucker proxy", which reminded me of Tim Burton. One of my favourites "Se7en". "Requiem for a Dream", emotional impact and awesome photography. "Watership Down" is still as scary now as at childhood.

Television:

MCoG, I spent FIVE years of my life looking for this GEM. Apparently the master english tapes do not exist any more. I have them all now on DVD. My odyssey is complete.

Books:

1984, Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman, Iain M Banks aand his M'less alter ego. Ben Elton, and any fiction except the bible, red dwarf books, catch 22.

Heroes:

Prince Roy and Joan of Sealand

stuff

I've been reading up on this blogging stuff of late. It seems to be something that many people take very seriously. I'd always thought it was a fad that might pass, much like Lost on TV, but then BAM!...
