Here's some pix of my trip to the Dallas Arboritum. My family definately is my biggest "hobby". I love watching my son grow up, and experiencing life all over again through his eyes. I love to learn new things, so really just about anything interests me. I enjoy poetry and art, music of all sorts, comedy (especially when it's coming from my husband or my son!), and martial arts....Play time!
LEAVE ME A MESSAGE ON THE FRIDGE!
DALLAS......
I listen to a wide variety of music, there's really very little that I don't like. It all depends on my mood. Music is such a beautiful way of expression.
Can we say "Transformers"? Shogun, the original Dune, Happy Gilmore, Braveheart & the Last Samuri just to name a few. I use to love horror, but not so much any more. I like comedy, drama, action, and sci-fi. Oh.... The Stand was a good one too, although OF COURSE not as good as the book! My taste for movies is much like my taste for music, very diverse.
Heroes - what can I say? Very creative, fresh, and cool art work! (have ya seen the "Got Milk?" ad??)
Some of my all time favs are classical lit. and good ol' Stephen King - what a combo of choices!
My heroes are the saints who have been in my life, people that have touched my heart and made me a better peron; people like my husband and my son, my mom and dad, my grandparents, and my friends whom I hold so close in my heart. Outside of people that I have known personally, one person in particular stands out in my mind.... Years ago, in one of the very very tragic school shootings, there was a young girl down on the schoolroom floor who was confronted by one of the teenage shooters. Many people had already been shot and wounded or killed - can you imagine the fear?? The shooter, holding the gun downwards at the girl, asked her, "Do you believe in God?!?"..... Surrounded by things I can't imagine, feeling things I can't imagine, faced with her own death, this young teenage girl looked up at the shooter and replied, "Yes, I do, with all my heart." The shooter pulled the trigger and killed her.... This exchange was witnessed by others in the classroom and was reported after the tradgey ended. To me, that innocent little girl was a true hero with immeasurable courage and faith.
