Lisa Miller

Hi, my name is Lisa, I am a registered nurse by profession, but currently pursuing my own business venture along with the help of my mom, a dear friend named Day Day, and an occasional visit from Lindsay my daughter to help out. We have opened a toning, tanning, sauna, candle and gift salon in the little town near our homes, I am a wife, a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and most importantly a Child of God who through Jesus Christ was saved 9 years ago. I grew up going to Sunday School and watching my blessed grandmother serve God with her whole heart. She was a living example of a Old Fashion Christian mother in each and every aspect! She taught us the importance of going to church and working within the congregation in whatever capacity that the Pastor required. She is now with Jesus and my grandfather, but lived to instill so many Christlike values in us and also to see many of us planted in Christ and the church before she passed.
When I was 32 years old God spoke to me and said "You know what to do, now go do it." I didn't have to ask what, who or why, but understood that my call had come. I repented that very night and have been trying to live for God ever since. God has brought me and my children through exhaustive obstacles. I know there are plans that lay ahead for my children in the ministry one day as well. Andy has a special reverence and sincerity for the Lord. So much so that he stands at a distance still, afraid to offend God as a sinner. I know God will save him one day when He is ready to begin His service through Andy. In the meantime, Andy is going to college, working full time, and spending as much time as possible with Ashley, his sweetheart. Lindsay, is a sweet, though tempermental soul with a special gift of Faith. Just turned 16! She also has a sincere reverence for God and tries to serve Him with seriousness. She has a special talent of working with the little ones. Someday, I think she would make a great teacher. She also worships with our youth group DRIVEN in song, sign, and dance. My devoted and dedicated husband Bill has blessed me by introducing two additional members into my family. Kirstin, independent and determined, is in college and is studying psychology. Matthew, ever so lively and playfully mischievious just ventured into teendom!
Let me say, that I am by no means perfect, but striving to be like Jesus day by day, trusting Him, living and loving His Word, and trying to be a servant to other Christians. I try to live each and every day learning more and more about my Lord and being a living example that being a Christian doesn't have to be boring. I enjoy working within my church with the youth and encouraging others in their path to Jesus. I am learning daily to be a servant to others. My goal is to have less of Lisa and more of Jesus! My prayer is that my life would shine as an example of how a Christian should live. The Word of God teaches us that living for God entails many trials that build us and teach us. I have failed many trials only to repeat them over and over, until I was able to move to the next level. I am on Myspace for encouragement to others and sharing of the Gospel message.
