My name is Mark Layman (AKA) MCM formerly known as Caveman. I've been rhyming since I was 13 years old and started my rap career in 1990 when I got my first deal at Profile Records with producer Robbie Laskar (The Principle) and Julian Small (DJ Diamond J). My catalogue with the group consists of two LP's "Positive Reaction" released in January 1991 and "The Whole Nine Yards" released in 1993. Also "I'm Ready" and "Fry You Like Fish" were released on 12" plus various other releases. After being with Profile for 3 years I made a solo LP for BMG Germany called "The Gospel According to Mark" which was my first solo effort and featured the production talents of DJ Bizness, Devastate, Nappa and myself, but unfortunately it was never released.I then did a couple of 12" for and independent label called Blue Planet with The Next Wavelength "Push Come To Shove" and "Are You Ready".In the past I have worked with the likes of Mark B, The Creators, Harmonic 33 and Philife Cypher and am now working on my next solo album entitled "Bruther From Anuther Muther" featuring the dynamic talents of Lady Lex. There is no release date yet but when it comes the s**t is gonna be banging.
