Frank Fresh is one of San Diego’s new upcoming and inspiring DJ’s. Born and raised in Southern California, he started djing in 1998 doing mobile gigs, everything from house parties, to High School dances. With his interest of computers and the passion of music, in 2002 he started to use one of the first DJ software programs on the market “Stanton’s Final Scratchâ€. With technology ever evolving, he had the opportunity to witness DMC World Champion DJ A-Trak demonstrate Rane’s “Serato Scratch Live†at California Sound and Lighting. “When I saw him do the same battle routines on Serato, and to execute it just like vinyl, I knew this program was meant for me and it was going to change the way I play music for the rest of my lifeâ€. Since then Frank Fresh has been heavily involved in educating other DJ’s how to use Serato Scratch Live as a tool to enhance performance and creativity. He has given demos for the San Diego Disc Jockey Association and teaches private courses at the San Diego Turntable Institution. As part of the Beat Bros. Sound System, which consists of his own brothers Frantik and Fred Savage, he has always put family as his first priority. Frank Fresh has worked with various promoters such as The Downbeat, House of Rep, XO Entertainment and Skism. Some of the venues he has played at are The Honey B-Hive, Thrusters Lounge, Land Lord Jims, Faces Night Club, Decos, Bens Gaslamp, Rock Bottom and The Adidas Store Downtown SD .The genre selection that he is well known for range from G-Funk, Top 40, Dub, and Chillout Music. “When I get a chance, I love to blend Downtempo, Hip-Hop Instrumentals and little bit of Roots Reggae. This caught the ear of Freddie Joachim and Ritchie Ramirez. “Frank Fresh’s style of Chilled Beatz was a perfect match of becoming part of the Organology family.
Final Thoughts: “Music Is The Soundtrack of Life.â€
