About Me
NATHALIE MANSER, virtuoso cello player, has been brought up since her early childhood in the world of classical music. After obtaining a "1er Prix de Virtuosité with Jury's congratulations and the highest diploma of the State Musical Academy of Lausanne, the "Concert Licence" (studying under Philippe Mermoud), she had the opportunity to play with several orchestras in the French part of Switzerland and has continued her musical education by following Master Classes in Germany (Freiburg).
As it appears, the rigidity of classical music could hardly offer her any room for personal creation or interpretation. For this reason, Nathalie MANSER moved away from classical music in order to create her own musical compositions and adaptations with the cello.
Thanks to her knowledge and mastery of the instrument, she has been able to produce her own personal and sensual music issuing from "World Music" and "Meditative" trends.
Musical Productions
Nathalie MANSER's magical encounter through songwriter/lyricist FRANCESKA AESCHLIMANN with DAVID RICHARDS, the famous and talented sound engineer/producer, himself director of the Mountain Studios in Montreux on Lake Geneva (where Queen, Freddie Mercury, Michael Jackson, David Bowie and others have realised their productions), has given her the opportunity to assert her creational ability and to realise a number of musical pieces rich in emotion and poetry. Nathalie MANSER and DAVID RICHARDS produced together three albums: Les Anges 2001 , Alpha Centauri 2004 and the special compilation Musique & Parfums 2003.
In 2005, Nathalie MANSER has been working in London on the production of her 3rd album A Handbook For Human Beings with GEORGE DE ANGELIS, a musician and famous composer (winner of the "Ivor Novello Award") and producer of international artists (he worked with artists such as Seal, Rod Stewart, LeAnn Rimes, etc.) Thanks to him, she has been extending even further her technique of virtuoso concert cellist, mixing in her music even more sophisticated sounds with the performance of other musicians and of a talented Russian orchestra : the Orpharion Orchestra.
Stage Productions
In 2002, JACQUES MORARD of the company "J'imagine Evénements et Spectacles" gave Nathalie MANSER the opportunity to join her world of music to a show of water and fireworks that, combined together, makes a wonderful visual and enchanting scene.
In 2002, MICHEL ROUDNITSKA, French perfumer and producer (Grasse, France) allowed Nathalie MANSER to conceive with his cooperation a new multi-sensorial show, consisting of a combination of fragrances and images accompanying her music. This was the beginning of a joint production, "World Scents" which invites the public to an olfactive and sensorial voyage around the world, made of emotions, dreams and poetry.
As from 2006, Nathalie MANSER has the great privilege to work on her next show with MARK FISHER. THE STUDIO MARK FISHER in London has an international reputation for spectacular live entertainment design. MARK FISHER has designed theatres and sceneries (such as KA, the permanent show by Cirque du Soleil at the MGM grand in Las Vegas ), one-off events and fixed installations (such as the Turin Winter Olympics Opening and Closing Ceremonies 2006), and also created concerts for many of the most famous names in popular entertainment, such as the Japanese artists Yumi Matsutoya and Mr Children, for European artists such as Johnny Hallyday, Mylène Farmer, Jean Michel Jarre, Herbert Gronemeyer and Marius Westernhagen, and for many British and American artists including Elton John, Tina Turner, Robbie Williams, Janet Jackson, Phil Collins and Cher.
MARK FISHER has created some of the most memorable rock concerts ever staged, including The Wall for Pink Floyd, Steel Wheels and Bridges to Babylon for the Rolling Stones, and ZooTV and Popmart for U2.
At the beginning of this new century, Nathalie MANSER's talent has the potential to stand amongst the greatest musical artists.
