I am here for Friends

About Me

I currently live in Sweden but I am from Mount Juliet, TN. We are here as "exchange students" for my husband's company who is based here. We will be here for three years or so. We moved here with our two dogs (a Catahoula and a Pointer) and our cat.

My Interests

Writing poetry, taking pictures, listening to music, hanging out with my two dogs and my husband, movies, and probably lots else I either haven't tried or can't remember!

I'd like to meet:

Ryan Gosling, Meg Ryan, Julia Roberts, Matthew Gray Gubler, William Peterson, Johnny Depp, Rascal Flatts. My grandmother who died before I was born and any of the family I didn't know existed until a couple years ago.

Music:

Rap/Hip-Hop, Blues, Jazz, Pop, and basically anything as long as it isn't old-time twangy country and heavy metal. I really really love Linkin Park and Rihanna. But I am just basically a "booty" music girl as my husband says!

Movies:

The Notebook, Underworld I and II, August Rush, Chronicles of Narnia (Rock on Rebecca!), Meet Me in St. Louis, The Sleeping Dictionary, Dragonfly, Sliding Doors, Farewell My Concubine, Dangerous Beauty, and my favorite foreign film of all time: The Scent of Green Papaya. I love all movies... not Adam Sandler (except for Spanglish) and definately not Jim Carrey (except now I liked the Number 23). Ugh!

Television:

HOUSE! BONES! THE 4400! GHOST WHISPERER! Animal Planet Animal Cops. Medium. Lost. Criminal Minds. CSI (but not New York). Alias. Dirty jobs with Mike Rowe. Probably more, but I haven't been watching much but Bones and House lately.

Books:

ISHMAEL! GRIFFIN AND SABINE! Yellow Raft on Blue Water. Their Eyes Were Watching God. Beloved. Oh my god, I could go on and on and have boxes and boxes of books, but those are my favorites!

Heroes:

My mother, absolutely. Without her, I wouldn't be here today. No question. My step-father (dad to me) because he was a different person and made the choice to change himself to make my mother's life easier and became one of the sweetest and funniest people I have ever known. My husband for all always being able to pull me back from the edge. My dog, Cajun, because she is so smart and loving that even on the worst day she can make me smile.

My Blog

Another birthday!

Its funny, but it just occurred to me, as I am saying goodbye to my birthday this year, that last year I wasn't even acknowledging my birthday (which if you know me is just sooo weird).  I was in...
