Just another day in Paradise

About Me

I am 19yrs old and am from CA, though I am currently stationed in Ft. Campbell, Ky with the 101 ABN Div. I am 6'0" and weigh about 175lbs with blond/brown hair and hazel eyes (sorry guys, picture soon). I was born in Texas with my dad in the Air Force, so we moved around a lot. We finally settled in CA when I was about 8yrs and ever since then my parents have been collecting kids. I currently live in a family of 15 (fourteen of which are the coolest people you will ever meet *snicker*). I have lived in a big family for a very long time and got used to the chaotic feel of it. I think this is one of the major influences in my joining the Army. I joined at the age of 17.5 and work as a 19D or Calvary Scout. It’s a pretty awesome job; I ride around in a truck and blow stuff up. I was deployed to Iraq September 23, 2005, and am currently on FOB Normandy. I believe in what the US is trying to do in Iraq and Afghanistan, however I do NOT believe in Iraq or Afghanistan. The people for the most part do not want to be helped and that makes our job very difficult. It’s alright though because I will be home soon and I won't have to see them any more. When I get out of the Military in 2008, my long term goal is to become a youth pastor in California and be able to connect to people. The only problem is that I am not a good people person, but I figure that if I try hard enough, I will get all of the tools that I need, or I will work at McDonalds. Either one is good.

My Interests

Sports, Martial Arts, Literature, Movies/Art (Anime and Manga, but I'm not into Hentai. Sorry)

I'd like to meet:

Uh...preferably a female. Somewhere between 1yrs+- to me. I'm pretty open minded (Californian, duh) and LOVE Starbucks. Starbucks is a mandatory. Sorry ladies, if you can't chill at Starbucks, keep trekkin. I would also like someone that is (at least somewhat) athletic. I love the outdoors and sports as well as Martial Arts. Swimming, Soccer, Running, Riding, Climbing, Hiking, Camping, Biking, I'm for it. Another perquisite is that must be intelligent, at least to a certain degree. I really hate it when nobody gets the joke because it is either too dumb, or everyone else is too stupid.

Music:

Techno, Celtic, Rock, anything that makes you want to get up and dance.

Movies:

I like all kinds of movies and don't really have a specific favorite. I like Action, Comedy, Suspense, a little Horror. I don't really like Romance but Please Teacher is defiantly the best romance of all time. It really hits me every time.

Television:

Anime mostly. I really like the art work and the stories. My favorite shows are Bleach, Naruto, and Psychic Academy.

Books:

If I was to list all of the books that I have ever read, then I would be here for days. I mostly read fantasy, science fiction books. I love trilogies and series. I have read the entire Chronicles of Narnia, the Wheel of Time series, the Left Behind series, as well as several novels that deal with science fiction. Michael Criton is exceptional in this field.

Heroes:

The real heroes are the Cops, Firefighters, Nurses, and Teachers. They work behind the scene 24/7 doing exactly what we do in Iraq and get almost zero thanks. It takes a lot of guts to do what they do and for that I salute them.

There and almost back again...

One cannot describe the joy that one feels upon the end of a cold dark depressing reality...and the arrival of a semi-warm, almost-caring existence. Now if such a thing would only happen to me, *sigh...

The beginnings of a new era...

Thus begins the new era. The reign in which Petty rules over all and the trees sing his name as the rocks dance circles around his throne. Or at least that is what it is like in my dreams. Sometimes t...
