About Me

Why the hell 1658?
As a year it doesn't really fit into our time so could it be a secret code? Sadly it's not that thrilling. The story shortly told it was the house number or better fire insurance number of our first Stylebox1658 Headquarter. Stylebox because it looked like a cube and of course a lot of style. It used to be a place to be, to meet friends, listen to music and just hang out and chill. Our circle of friends lead to the actuall beginning of the Stylebox1658 DJ Team with Luke Adope, DJ Stef and DJ Dolphin.After some experiences on a solo trip the DJ's decided to found an actual DJ Team to create a new way of making good parties. In 2002 the first "La Banlieue" event was held at the Taifun Club in Dietikon. It didn't take long to be known as a hotspot for many friends, fans and just party people. Two years after the first party we moved the event to the newly opened Code Club in Zurich. The number of guest just started to explode and that meant moving soon to a even bigger location that we found with the Acqua Club that was fairly unknown at that time.Today the Acqua Club belongs to the top adresses in Zurich an the La Banlieue event as one of the best RnB & Hip Hop events. During that time the DJ Team also grew to a magnet and moves around Switzerland to perform at different clubs.Also our Studio changed. We had to say a sad goodbye to our Stylebox and moved to Schlieren into our new studio. But the 1658 housenumber we took along and it still hangs over the door.
