About Me

Record breaking by-election winner. Former journalist and a part of the Metro Radio News Team when it won a New York Award. But that's all in the past.

Dedicated globe-trotter. Recent stops were Singapore and New Zealand for my cousin's wedding. Sydney and Hong Kong are still favourites. Next trip remains unplanned but leading contenders are Rio, Bali, Egypt or maybe back to Singapore.

Currently back in traffic and travel news. I frequently crop up on a variety of radio stations across the North of England.

My Interests

Capoeira, Running, anything to do with F1 and of course learning to play the Sax at last.

And travel too! Even to that place with the Kiwis . . . .

At last I've found the Bill Gates doll:
You Are 32% Evil
A bit of evil lurks in your heart, but you hide it well.
In some ways, you are the most dangerous kind of evil. How Evil Are You?

I'd like to meet:

Marguerite Moreau (oh please! please!!!), Mr Eko, Zaphod Beeblebrox

You have been marked on my profile map!

Music:

Going to see My Chemical Romance live very soon - soooo excited!

Foo Fighters, Evanescence, Linkin Park and Muse are other favourites.

But in quieter moments my tastes are very varied from Faithless, Mika, Nina Simone, Adiemus, Joolz Gianni.

Movies:

Donnie Darko, Interview with a Vampire, Queen of the Damned and anything by Guillermo Del Toro.

Television:

LOST, CSI, The Apprentice, Dragon's Den, Hells Kitchen USA other than that I usually put a DVD on.

Books:

Anything from Dickens to Pratchett.

Heroes:

Ayrton Senna da Silva, Gilles Villeneuve, Jean Alesi, Stephen Fry, Douglas Adams.

MCR: No blood available

The current hype around My Chemical Romance is so understandable when you see them live. Gerard just holds nothing back. Brilliant effects including plumes of flame going up from the stage in a couple...

Pedestrians . . . slow!

OK. It may be the onset of insanity. Alternatively it could be sleep deprivation. But I am convinced that this morning at 5:35 a.m. I drove passed a man wearing pin-stripe trousers, a white shirt...
