About Me

A South Dakota native, Heidi began acting professionally in 1995 at the renowned Black Hills Playhouse. Cutting her teeth on dramas like Equus and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof eventually led her to find an unexpected passion for comedy. Now living in Minneapolis, Heidi’s favorite roles include “Polly Peachum” in Frank Theatre’s Threepenny Opera, “Laura Wingfield” in Theatre in the Round’s Glass Menagerie, “C” in Here Today’s Three Tall Women, and “Sally” in Mystery Café’s Art of Murder. In addition to appearing in several national television commercials and independent films like Generation Mason, Heidi also writes and performs for the feisty sketch comedy group, Idiot Box, online at www.idiot-box.org. Other current projects include three television pilots, two animated television shows (Auto B. Good and Rocketmen: Axis of Evil), and indies like Fall Into Me, Skeleton, Midnight, and Moviebonics. She is also hard at work on her second screenplay.

Clubbin'

So I was introducing my sister to a bondage/fetish-themed nightclub the other day, and she was very "be like the reed" about the whole thing, which was nice, considering she's a Pisces....

My Totem

Life's not fair.  My parents always used to tell me that, and I learned exactly what they meant when I was in fourth grade and invited a few friends over for a slumber party.  My parents mad...

You know, we blame a lot of craziness on puberty: raging hormones, destructive impulses, sullenness...it's also when schizophrenia usually makes its first appearance if you've got the magical h...

"The Heretic"

I have kind of been on this cannibal kick lately with my poetry.  I have to say that there's something about the practice that really attracts me, beyond the sensationalism.  It's not j...

Ugly Baby!

I was just visiting my parents over the Thanksgiving holiday.  I don't see them terribly often--probably a couple of times a year, and only one of those times might be back "home." &n...
