P.S. Down there at the bottom of the page? Where it says "Here for:"? It says Friends and Networking. That's all. No, I don't want to "hook up." The fact that I'm not built like a model does NOT make me desperate to sleep with you.
(For pete's sake, I never thought I'd have to clarify that.)
My interests range all over, excluding rap, R and B, and country. Favorites would include Loreena McKennitt, Jimmy Eat World, Jump Little Children, Vienna Teng, Mediaeval Baebes, the Old 97's, Camille Saint-Saens, Antonio Vivaldi, JS Bach, Bjork, and Reel Big Fish. I also like J-Rock, stuff like Cool Joke, PornoGraffiti, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, Orange Range and Rurutia.
Stuff I watch over and over and over: Lilo & Stitch, The Emperor's New Groove, 10 Things I Hate About You, The Changeling, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Snatch, Contact, Fantasia, Much Ado About Nothing, the original Star Wars trilogy, Onmyoji I and II, Velvet Goldmine, Labyrinth, Legend, The Princess Bride, Empire Records, Wayne's World and Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.
I don't watch a lot of tv on tv-- especially not where I live now, but I do like CSI and the various Law and Order's. In fact, any forensics show on Court TV has me hooked. I'm a big Farscape and Firefly fan, and I'm working my way through Stargate SG-1, which I adore (up to season 8, finally). I also watch a lot of anime, though not as much as I used to. Current/all time favorites would be Yami no Matsuei, FullMetal Alchemist, Bleach, Naruto, Kyo Kara Maou, and Witch Hunter Robin.
look me up on bibliophil.org- "flameysqueak": although I've only listed a very small fraction of what I own so far.
My five favorite authors are Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, James Alan Gardner, Julie Czerneda, and Jim Butcher.
Nonfiction books I've enjoyed... Salt: A World History; Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers; The Power of Babel: A Natural History of Language; The Lost Tomb; and The Code Book.
