I grew up in Door County and currently live in the Fox Valley. I'm just about finished with my Master's degree in Higher Education Counseling, currently working on my practicum with the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and am hoping to work for a Wisconsin College soon. I may pursue my doctoral studies at some point, possibly in Education. I have a passion for education and I take pride in motivating others to be the best they can be - anybody who knows me knows that's what I do best.
I'm also a musician, and I write and record music. I play guitar, sing, play bass, drums, etc... There isn't a musical challenge I can't handle.

My Interests

Music, art, movies, reading fiction and non-fiction, writing poetry, coffee shops, classical music, jazz, blues, fine wines, fine dining, gourmet cooking, concerts, learning foreign languages like Italian, French, and Spanish, baseball, football, working out, and basically anything else that doesn't involve TV.

I'd like to meet:

Edgar Allen Poe, Ernest Hemingway, Sigmund Freud, John Mayer.

Music:

Hmmm.. this list is going to take awhile 'cause I have so many music for all my moods... Here's an appetizer: John Coltrane (hell yeah!), Miles Davis, John Mayer, Norah Jones, Hendrix, Zeppelin, the Doors, Clapton, the immortal SRV... basically anything with soul.

Movies:

Yeah another long list I need to work on... Pretty much depends what kind of mood I'm in, but I'm usually up for a good chick flick. Go ahead, make fun of me. I'm man enough to admit it.

Television:

Usually just whatever's on PBS. That's right. PBS.

Books:

I've started reading fiction, mainly the classics but I'm open for anything that pulls me in... Also a non-fiction buff 'cause I love to learn new things. Yeah, and I read whole textbooks for fun. Yep.

Heroes:

Jeremiah Zak (RIP) - someday I hope to be half the man he was.
