Well I wanted to go under 4 hours and 15 minutes but truly desired to break 4 hours!
As you can see the race was fine for the first 3/4 and than I hit a wall around mile 22. I felt fine but my legs muscles were fatigued and I slowed down to a 13-minute mile, I don’t want to tell you how big the girls were that passed me! It was particularly disappointing and embarrassing since I passed all theses people back at mile 4. On a good note I ran the whole race and paced under 8 1/2 minutes for the 26th mile.Some advice: (If you are planning to run a marathon)
1) Train more than once a week (At least 90 days of running)
2) Run at least 22-23 miles a couple of weeks before the race
3) Don’t eat or drink to much during the race
4) Reduce your body fat and weight by at least 5%In regard to my racing future:
I think it will be 10k’s from now on and I am going to start training in the spring for a 100 miles bike race! Does anyone what to join me?Someone who doesn't make flowers,
makes thorns...
