About Me

My name is Christina. Many people call me Tina though, so if that's easier for you, then that works too. I just graduated from CSU Long Beach with a degree in Anthropology - not quite sure what I'm going to do with that just yet, but it's a world of opportunities, so we'll see =) In the mean time, I work at an animal hospital, which is awesome cuz I have two lil' weiner dogs, Hilda and Wolfy. I love animals and one day hope to breed Dachshunds. I have a wonderful boyfriend, Nick, who I've been with for six years (this October). Nick is wonderful - whenever I lose sight of myself, he always helps me to find my way back. He plans on proposing sometime this summer (I'm also a huge snoop, otherwise I wouldn't know this) ::Tina Laughs:: So, me : I'm strangely literal, pessimistically optimistic, bluntly honest, and I swear like a sailor (it's what happens when you were raised a tomboy). But I can be nice; I'm very understanding and always try to see things from both sides - unless I know I'm right, which is most of the time =) I'm an open book and I really don't mind answering any queston. So hello world, this is me!

My Interests

Animals (one day when I have $ I want to have a Dachshund Rescue), reading when I have time, writing poetry, traveling; working out, wine-tasting, collecting pin-up art, dancing and singing off-key.

I would have liked to have met Princess Diana - everyone says I have Diana eyes; and Audrey Hepburn, cuz she was one classy dame; Sarah Michelle Gellar, cuz BtVS is the shit; Rose McGowan, and John Krasinski from The Office (Hottie!)

Music:

My iPod list is a widespan of music - I like pretty much everything. But my favorite band is the Dresden Dolls.

Movies:

Fave musical is hands down the Moulin Rouge; Love The Royal Tenenbaums and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. Bill Murray = funny. Sideways "I'm not drinking Merlot!" and The Notebook. Grindhouse, The Departed; Love in the Afternoon with Audrey Hepburn and best of all, Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Television:

I worship The Office!, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Nip/Tuck, Law and Order (the regular one and SVU. And I realize they are horrible but godamn they're so entertaining, reality shows: The Hills, Laguna Beach (every episode makes me want to punch a rich kid), and I Love New York!

Books:

The Witching Hour by Anne Rice, I Know This Much Is True by Wally Lamb, Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden, A Farewll to Arms by Ernest Hemingway, I love everything by Junko Mizuno, and the whole manga series of Sailor Moon by Naoko Takeuchi. And I love comic books!

Heroes:

Sailor Moon : for her fearlessness in the heat of battle and her endless love for everyone, including her enemies.Maria Tchamkina : she was my hero in high school. One of the smartest and most talented people I ever met. I wish I could find her to tell her that.
