French born singer/songwriter Cedric Gauthier realized his love of music at an early age and began to develop his musical talent through guitar and song. Early in his career he moved to the Caribbean island of St Martin and formed his first band with English singer/songwriter Jon Rolls. The band can be heard on local radio stations (Island 92) and could be heard in local clubs and bars (Sunset beach bar, Rancho, la Bodeguita del Medio...). The band had showcased their two albums "Feel" and "Strawberries" (which was released in january 2005) as well as covered major influences including U2, REM, Bob Dylan, Crowded House and the Rolling Stones in over 100 shows a year.Cedric spent his summers in Chicago where he took in the Blues and Rock traditions of the windy city. In Chicago he devoted his time to solo gigs, songwriting and the recording of his original material...but when the cold wind started blowing, his music carried him back to the islands...perhaps via the south of France to reunite with his french roots and enjoy a nice glass of red...
Starting in january 2006 Cedric played a 192 shows run on the French Riviera, Italy and Switzerland, then returned to Chicago in april of 2007 to record a New Album "I Wanna Tell You Something" with Chicago Blues Musicians. 1st Single "I Wanna Be Colin Farrell" out july 1st 2007 right here on this page, 2nd Single "I Wanna Tell You Something" out july 15th and 3rd Single "Waiting In Vain" out july 28th.... A Summer 2007 concert tour on the French Riviera just ended on Halloween night in Cannes, the New Album is finally here and will be available on CDBaby.com, I Tunes Music and many other sites shortly !!
