Eric "E-Class" Hunter was born in Marion, S.C. on November 24, 1979. He became interested in music early in life listening to his Aunt Earsel Crawford, a well know gospel singer in South Carolina. Rapping was his first endeavor joining a rap group called Steel Village. Then people took notice of his ability to sing. After joining the military, he started playing with the idea of singing more. With encouragement from friends, E-Class decided when he left the military in 2002 he would persue sing as his career. To date E-Class has had twenty-two live performances and counting. He was the winner of two Def Jam Rep Yo' City local radio competitions. His mission now is to get out on the streets to sell his CDs."I am determinded to be the first national recording artist to truly represent where I am from (South Carolina). I understand that this business is definitely not a game, and that it takes a lot of hard work and dedication; I know that I have what it takes to be successful..."E-Class has a smooth southern flow laced with soulful melodies. He writes songs containing topics from love to the streets. He has been influenced by artist such as R. Kelly and Jagged Edge, as well as legends Keith Sweat, Al Green and many more."...writing, recording, and performing are the only things that I can see myself doing that truly makes me happy and the ones around me. I think it is safe to say that I have a gift and I am ready to share it with the world..."
