The Lido is a unique, alternative Music venue in Margate, Kent. It’s been a part of Margate since the 1960’s but that doesn’t mean its stuck in the past. In today’s incarnation it’s a cutting edge venue for breaking bands in the UK and Abroad. It runs on Friday nights and is open until late. The music styles range from Indie, Rock to Goth, Punk,Emo and metal. It’s the place to see LIVE up and coming bands before they make it big. Bands like Lost Prophets, Stuck Mojo, Hundred Reasons, Panic Cell, Blood Red Shoes and many more have all played this as one of their first shows and look where they are now!
We welcome 16+ but STRICTLY NO ID NO ENTRY. Entry price depends on promoters but is usually around £3.50 with discounts available. Drink promotions also happen on a regular basis. The Lido normally has between 3 and 4 promoters. The Promoters at the moment are Plan Nine, RAW, Bald Eagle and Screwloose promotions. Each giving a different type of music and twist to make there night as unique as possible for your entertainment.
The Lido is an extremely friendly club with a unique atmosphere and that’s why it is loved by so many people. You can never be sure who is going to be there or quite what is going to happen but you can be sure that it's going to be fun fun fun! So if you won’t to see breaking bands, playing LIVE music. Then there really is no other place to be on a Friday night.
