August 20, 1979 Shelandra Sene' Goss midwest native (Kankakee, Illinois) was born into a family of undeniable talent. Surrounded by talent her whole life, singing was inevitable. While loving the fact she had this God given gift that everyone loved, Sene' knew that singing was just the tip of the iceberg. Sene's 1st love is writing, "lyrics always need a voice, and a voice with nothing to say....worthless" says Sene'. At a young age Sene' listened to all of her parents music and embraced it. Sene' had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the legendary Albertina Walker at just 8 years old. "Leaving the midwest and moving to California was the best move my parents made." By 19 Sene' had opened for artist such as Eric Benet', James Ingram, Patti Austin, Sheena Easton, just to name a few. Sene' has also worked with producers such Brian A. Morgan (SWV), Derek DOA Allen (Tyrese, Janet, Lionel Richie), Tracy Carter (Wayman Tisdale, Gerald Albright) and the list goes on. Sene's sound is a blend of so many influences but all toghether they've created the unique, dynamic and powerful artist that she is today. With alternative/rock being one of her number genre's and R&B/Soul being her foundation Sene' is sure to be one that is not forgotten.
