On May 27, 1980 Edgar Terrazas was born in El Paso, Texas to Patricia and Antonio Terrazas. Edgar spent the early years of his life in Juarez, Mexico. Edgar was 3 years old when his parents divorced. Soon after, Edgar, his mother, and sister moved back to El Paso, Texas. As a child Edgar spent most of his time with his maternal grandmother and cousins. Edgar always wondered if his father would ever come back. He didn’t, but when Edgar was ten years old, God blessed him with a wonderful stepfather. His stepfather encouraged him to follow his hearts desires.
Edgar began writing music at the early age of thirteen after being inspired by Dr. Dre’s The Cronic. He soon realized he wanted to pursue a career in music as a respected song writer or Rapper. Although, his love for music was larger than life, he didn’t share his dream with any one in fear of being laughed at. Nevertheless, he continued to write.
Edgar wrote songs of all genres but he focused his music about his parents divorce. He also wrote about the gang life in his home town of El Paso, Texas and the murders across the El Paso and Mexican border of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
In January of 2000 Edgar began recording his music. He released his first demo in 2002, entitled Down To Roc (DTR). Edgar’s first child, a daughter named Kaela Nevaeh Terrazas was born on January 16th 2002.The birth of his daughter made him stronger. Determined more than ever he began selling his demos and began performing any were he could. He performed at numerous car shows, and in many nightclubs. Edgar created quite a buzz in the city of El Paso. Edgar worked with many local artists and with well known producers in Atlanta, Georgia.
