About Me

BWAHAHAHA!! I am a music store in Birmingham, Alabama, where I have lived for the last 16 years. My house is at 2825 18th Street South in historic downtown Homewood. If I walk out my front door and look up the hill to the right, I can see the bare iron ass of the Vulcan statue ("moon over Homewood")...his apron doesn't go all the way around. Homewood is a great neighborhood, and we could spend most any lazy afternoon just hanging out and checking out the great shops that surround us - not to mention the multitude of amazing eateries that are a daily temptation. I also live virtually at lasersedgecd.com . That's a pretty cool place, too.
We're really digging the new Avett Brothers CD, Emotionalism.
We love it when our favorite artists swing by the store and play for us and our patrons (see also Josh Ritter, below). Here's a clip of Marc Broussard performing "Home" at a Laser's Edge in-store on June 20th 2007 (thanks, cuckoomimi!!):
Here's a great clip of Ryan Adams performing "I Taught Myself How To Grow Old" from Easy Tiger on Letterman:
