Phunk Dub eh o projeto solo do DJ e produtor Christian Bicudo que visa principalmente a fusao sonora de diferentes estilos da musica organica e eletronica. Com influencias desde o funk, soul, jazz, blues, rock e reggae dos anos 70 ate a musica eletronica nos dias de hoje, com a disco music, deep house, psychedelic, nu-jazz, rare grooves, trip hop, drum n bass, dub, ambient. A ideia principal eh misturar grooves solidos down e mid tempo com diferentes texturas eletronicas e instrumentos organicos, usando manipulacoes de samples, composicao MIDI e musicos convidados.Christian desde o ano 2000 vem se apresentando em diferentes festas, clubes e bares em grande parte do Brasil. Participou das principais raves e festas do Brasil dentre elas: Trancendance, Celebra Brasil, Universo Paralelo, Transformation, Tribe, Freakadelic, Psyco Garden, Orion dentre outras e clubes e bares como: Klatu, Sub Groove, F4R, Alki, Freakadelic, Kooki lounge, Chacara St. Cecilia dentre outros.Como DJ Christian toca diferentes influencias musicais mas sempre com uma caracteristica groove indo desde o ambient, dub, soul, downtempo, hip hop ate o funk, house e breakbeats sempre buscando o que ha de mais novo, raro e bem produzido no mundo.Phunk Dub eh sobre emocoes, ciencia, ficcao, mente e alma. Nao eh necessariamente dancante eh mais sobre exploracoes de novas texturas, bons grooves, musica e liberdade acima de tudo.

Phunk Dub is the solo project from the Dj and producer Christian Bicudo. The idea is to mix diferent styles from organic and eletronic music. With influences from funk, soul, jazz, blues, rock and reggae of the 70s until nowadays with disco, house, techno, psychedelic, nu-jazz, rare grooves, trip-hop, drum n bass, dub and ambient. The main idea is to mix solid grooves down and mid tempo with quallity eletronic textures and organic sounds, using samples manipulation, MIDI composition and guest musicians. Christian since 2000 has been playing at many different parties, clubs, raves, radio stations, bars and restaurants arround Brazil and places like Australia and New Zealand. Here are some of them:

As a Dj Christian is always searching for the freshiest songs in the world, always maintanin a groove caracteristic, going from ambient, dub, to reggae, soul, funk, punky, housy, brokenbeats or however you wanna call those rare grooves (too many influences to right down).
Phunk Dub is about emotions, science, fiction and therapy for mind and soul. It is not necessarily dance music, it is more about exploring new textures, wicked grooves, music and freedom above all.
