I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I am 44. I have an 18 year old awesome son. He's very talented as a sketch artist, wire scuptor, breakdancer, comedian. I love to sing karaoke when I get the chance. I don't do too badly, I guess. I don't get laughed at, booed, or see people heading for exits when I sing but I know I'm no Christina Aguilera or Ann Wilson. All I know is it makes me happy to sing and after the long stressful work days, it's a nice release to sing my heart out. I don't get to karaoke every day although I do own my own karaoke machine (of course). I sing along with the radio going down the road all by myself every day. Once home, all I want to do is crawl up in my recliner and relax. I have people in my life that love me and I'm thankful for that. The number one person in my life that I know loves me no matter what is my Rae Marie. Considering the awkward beginning of our acquaintance (future friendship) almost 25 years ago, we probably have the most solid best friend relationship there could possibly be. We just fit. We don't always agree even though we've been accused of agreeing with each other in a group conversation for the sake of being on each other's side no matter what. No, we actually do disagree at times believe it or not (funny how no one notices the times we don't agree, huh, Rae?) We've actually had the occasional drama scene between us but we always work out our stuff. And rather quickly. As the years progress and our lives evolve I love her that much more. She mentioned in her myspace I am her female soul mate. That's how I've always thought of her. I have no idea what I'd do without her in my life. She's helped me raise my son (thank you Rae, for that). She's been my rock for about 20 years. I look to her for advice and direction. Yeah, I know, I don't always follow your advice, Rae, and I'm so sorry that I don't always realize you're right till I have to deal with the consequences of not listening to you. Mostly Rae has helped me be a better person. And she really does have good advice. She has great insight. I've told her a million times she should be a therapist. Ok, that's all I've got for now. I've been meaning to update this part forever. Maybe I'll update it again sometime.....

My Interests

Music, mostly classic rock but also enjoy most new music that arrives on the scene, 80's pop music, actually enjoyed the disco era; ok, enough about music, love the karaoke, any trivia game, sunrise and sunset (I know, contradiction), the beach. I am a Mickey Mouse fanatic. I like to make things like crochet or beaded jewelry or other crafty things. When other stuff comes to mind, I will come back and edit it in.

I'd like to meet:

Johnny Depp, Captain Jack Sparrow, Jimmy Fallon, Peter Frampton, Keanu Reeves, Ellen Degeneres, Dr. Phil, I could go on and on.

..

..

Music:

I guess I'll use this as a continuation of my "interests". Of all the music I love, my favorite band has always been and always will be Led Zeppelin. Also love Aerosmith, Kiss, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Peter Frampton, The Beatles, The Who, Bruce Springstein, John Cougar, Billy Joel, Elton John, Yes, Allman Brothers, Rush, Supertramp, Rod Stewart, man, the list can literally go on forever and ever. Later bands would be Cold Play, Keene, Train, Collective Soul, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, The Foo Fighters, James Blunt, Alanis Morrissette, Dave Matthews, John Mayer, all the American Idol winners are awesome, so far. This list could go for a few miles as well so I'll stop now.

Movies:

My favorite movie of all time is fairly recent but I could watch it a 100 times and not get tired of it. It's called "Love, Actually" with Hugh Grant. Although I still believe "Love, Actually" is still my favorite, "Fever Pitch" arrives at a close second. Mainly because my boyfriend, Jimmy Fallon is in it. And then of course any Pirates of the Carribean movie. I love the typical "chick flick". Used to love the action flicks but not so much any more. I like horror movies if they are ghostly stories. Not so much into the gore as I used to be either (unless it's a parody of a slasher movie--lol). Love a comedy even if it's slapstick stupid comedy like "Police Academy", anything having to do with "Cheech and Chong", "Malibu's Most Wanted" or any of the "Revenge of the Nerds" movies. I even loved "Napoleon Dynamite"--Gosh! Idiot!

Television:

My favorite show right now is "The OC". My fave for 10 years was "Friends". I am a die hard fan of Saturday Night Live for the past 30 years. I also love "Medium", Numbers", "Ghost Whisperer" and my annual favorite "American Idol". I don't watch much sports. I watch some of the football playoffs and the superbowl. I watch one soap opera "As the World Turns". I like to watch any of the forensic shows on Court TV or A and E.

Books:

I like some romance novels but not the cheesy ones. If they are about something else and the romance plays into the story and not in a predictable way, I like it. Does that make sense? I also like to read biographies, ghost stories, and crime stories involving forensics.

Heroes:

My best friend Rae Marie, my wonderful son Bradley, and Mickey Mouse.

Andy Griffith - Football

I can't even believe I found this and it took like two seconds to find it. It's such an old bit from Andy Griffith in his younger days. It's absolutely hilarious. One of my all time favorite stories. ...

Invisible????

Ok, let's see how many people see this....or maybe I really am invisible. If that were true it would be rather fun. I could easily listen to private conversations and no one would know. But I'm sure, ...
