Preparing for the zombie apocalypse, music, movies, large cities, abandoned buildings, exploring, drinking lots of tea, sleeping, bargain hunting, baking, grandma (el oh el), traveling, road trips, the shore, my friends & boyfriend...and lots more.
Topping the list would have to be...Rainer Maria, Belle & Sebastian, and Dolly Parton (yes, seriously...she's great!). Others include too many to list, plus it's too all over the place...so there!
My all-time favorite movie EVER is The Neverending Story (if you call Falkor "that dog-looking thing," give me your address so I can beat it into your head that he is a LUCK DRAGON!). I also enjoy the films of John Waters and Todd Solondz. Garden State and Kevin Smith films because they're all representing...stuff everyone likes like Napoleon Dynamite. I also enjoy The Wizard (you know, that movie about video games that's more or less a superlong Nintendo Commercial), snobby indie flicks like Me and You and Everyone We Know, frou-frou foreign flicks like Amelie and Children of Heaven, and last but certainly not least...TEEN WITCH (top that!).
Nip/Tuck, Degrassi: The Next Generation, Family Guy, Weeds, Big Love, anything on Discovery or the Food Network.
Anything by David Sedaris, the Harry Potter books, Man's Search For Meaning by Viktor Frankl, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and The Rum Diary by Hunter S. Thompson, and although politics make me cringe anymore, I still have a soft spot for early 20th century anarchists, so Anarchism and Other Essays by Emma Goldman still tops the favorites list, as well as A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn (because I still love history).
Desi Gonzalez!
