Movies, Music, Baseball (Go Yankees!), Reading, having small get togethers with Friends
I'd like to meet people interested in filmmaking or even those who are interested in talking about films. It is, after all, my favorite subject. I should say up front that I rarely add someone to my friends list unless I've actually made friends with them. So send me a message and let's talk.
And this man....
Jazz and Film Scores mainly but will try anything once.
Some of my favorites in the Jazz catogory include Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, Terence Blanchard, Mingus, Diana Krall, Diane Reeves, Billy Holiday, Chick Corea and a plethora of others.
Some of my favorite film composers include: Thomas Newman (American Beauty Score is my all time favorite), Alan Silvestri, John Williams, James Horner, James Newton Howard and others as well.
I do listen to other things as well though. I'm really into Damien Rice, Rocco DeLuca and the Burden, Billy Harvey (Check these last two out on iTunes Music Store), Fountains of Wayne,
Ryan Adams, and my absolute favorite song of all time is "One" by Three Dog Night.
Empire Strikes back, American Beauty, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (Especially the Return of the King), Fight Club, Sixth Sense, Godfather Parts 1 & 2, Moulin Rouge, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Boondock Saints, Igby Goes Down, Snatch, Trainspotting, Flatliners, Dark City, Dodgeball, E.T. (what can I say. I'm a child of the 80s) The Natural, Field of Dreams, Bull Durham (I have a thing for baseball movies) Being John Malvovich, Ethernal Sunshine of the Spotless mind, The Royal Tenebaums, Good Night, and Good Luck, Capote, Munich, Schindler's list, Saving Private Ryan, Sky High, Any Pixar Movie... I could go on forever. And SERENITY! SERENITY! SERENITY! Did I mention Serenity? :D
Coupling. The British version not the American version, Smallville, The OC, CSI, Six Feet Under and Dinner for Five, MythBusters, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel. Anything by Joss Whedon. 24, Gilmore Girls, Bones, Veronica Mars And Now Lost. Lost is F*cking amazing. Good TV is so hard to come by. *sigh* I've just discovered Battlestar Galactica. And can I just say OMG, what a great show! And now I've got an obsession with "The Office."
Brave New World, 1984, Choke, Fight Club, Invisible Monsters, Survivor, Diary, The Harry Potter Books, A Wrinkle in Time, ... again I could go on forever.
Peter Jackson, Sam Mendes, M. Night Shymalan, Stephen Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Baz Lurhman, Joss Whedon, Ang Lee, George Clooney. But the one man who had the greatest influence on my life is probably my Dad. You never know how much they mean to you until you lose them.
