BLACK WISDOM

TO KNOW ME IS TO LOVE ME, BUT IF YOU DON'T....2 FINGAZ!!!!

About Me

I'm a lover of all things positive and I try to surround myself with just that. Many may ask why I call myself Black Wisdom, keep reading.... It's funny. Black Wisdom first came about as my "pen" name and I originally spelled it Black Wizdom. I used it as my pen name because it was a true definition as to who I am. Black (nubian) is my color (as can be seen on face value) but to me it means so much more (and this can be seen through my writings). Unlike Websters definition it is not depressing, negative, and joyless, I chose Black for the first part of my name to symbolize the beauty, originality, and strength of the second part of the name Wisdom. To add on to this everything goes back to black, the original state,so no matter who or what you are you must know that you started with me (black) and you will end with me (black) so instead of fighting, disrespecting, hurting, and hating me (black) learn to love and respect me (black) because if you don't learn on your own be prepared to be caught up in my magnetic field of blackness!!! This again takes me to the second part of the name, Wisdom. Wisdom, first and foremost, is symbolic to those with knowledge of self and all others as the Black woman, mother of all in the universe, the water (one of the basic necessities and building blocks of life). Without this we would all be nonexistent. No only is "wisdom" a physical necessity it is a mental necessity. Mentally it is all wise words that are spoken by those who have knowledge of self. If these wise words are spoken (planted) correctly then the seeds that are planted will be plentiful beyond belief. This too is reflecting in my writings. Then over time I evolved into the pleasant person that I am today thus changing the spelling of my name to Black Wisdom. So allow me to introduce myself. I come to you in this warm current in the name of Black Wisdom standing before millions as a true representative of something greater than myself spreading wise words to all those who seek it and choose to gain from it, cultivating the babies both mentally and physically in hopes of rebuilding this great nation. Be Blessed, Peace....

Hosted by HitupMyspace.comBlack code In U.S. history, any of numerous laws enacted in the states of the former Confederacy after the American Civil War and intended to assure the continuance of white supremacy. Enacted in 1865 and 1866, the laws were designed to replace the social controls of slavery that had been removed by the Emancipation Proclamation and the Thirteenth Amendment to the Constitution. The black codes had their roots in the slave codes that had formerly been in effect. The premise behind chattel slavery in America was that slaves were property, and, as such, they had few or no legal rights. The slave codes, in their many loosely defined forms, were seen as effective tools against slave unrest, particularly as a hedge against uprisings and runaways. Enforcement of slave codes also varied, but corporal punishment was widely and harshly employed. The black codes enacted immediately after the American Civil War, though varying from state to state, were all intended to secure a steady supply of cheap labour, and all continued to assume the inferiority of the freed slaves. There were vagrancy laws that declared a black to be vagrant if unemployed and without permanent residence; a person so defined could be arrested, fined, and bound out for a term of labour if unable to pay the fine. Apprentice laws provided for the “hiring out” of orphans and other young dependents to whites, who often turned out to be their former owners. Some states limited the type of property blacks could own, and in other states blacks were excluded from certain businesses or from the skilled trades. Former slaves were forbidden to carry firearms or to testify in court, except in cases concerning other blacks. Legal marriage between blacks was provided for, but interracial marriage was prohibited. It was Northern reaction to the black codes (as well as to the bloody antiblack riots in Memphis, Tennessee, and New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1866; see New Orleans Race Riot) that helped produce Radical Reconstruction (1865–77) and the Fourteenth and Fifteenth amendments to the U.S. Constitution. The Freedmen's Bureau was created in 1865 to help the former slaves. Reconstruction did away with the black codes, but, after Reconstruction ended in 1877, many of their provisions were reenacted in the Jim Crow laws, which were not finally done away with until passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. (FIND OUT MORE BECAUSE TRUST THE PAPERS MAY SAY THAT IT ENDED IN 1964 BUT IT IS ALIVE AND WELL TODAY. DO THE KNOWLEDGE)

Music:

I only listen to the lyricists who truly have something to say that's mainly why my speakers only bump lyrics from the past by the late greats and some real ones from the present. Anyone can talk about ass, fancy cars and rims, killing, selling drugs and cooking crack to make it sound good, but honestly how many of these artists really spark your minds with some real lyrics. Dead Prez said it best when they said "turn off the radio, turn off that bullshit" !Revolutionaries stand up and as for the locals look out for my peoples Enoch the Messenjah and 7Sin!!!

Heroes:

First and foremost my children, because it is them who will take part in making our futures all that it will be. Then I would have to say my mother, because she has givenn her last physically, mentally, and materialistically to me make sure that we were happy and well kept. Then I would have to say the makers of my makers and their makers and all others who have and are still standing up for all that is right. Those who are not afraid of what will happen if they voice their opinions for all things that will make us better as a people. My heroes are all those who are positive and none of those who are negative, those who paved the way for our priviledges of today by any and all means necessary. Can't forget about the strong mothers and fathers who do all that they can to raise our seeds in all ways that are right and exact. Peace!!!!
