I look forward to seeing everyone who is already gone on ahead. I just want to meet as many people as I can and hope to make as many friends as possible. I also look forward to more grandbabies!
Music:
Music use to be big for me, it helped me through a lot of tough times growing up, not to mention that my family had a band in which I got to sing and spend time with my family on the road. I love to sing, I have won several contests, mostly karaoke, and have been asked to sing for special occasions. I was raised on Country (old fashioned country western (not bluegrass)The first time I heard a Patsy Cline song, it brought me to tears and gave me goosebumps from head to toe. I fell in love with Rock and roll during the 80's, Queensryche being my favorite, I love Poison, Whitesnake, KISS, AC/DC, Wasp, OZZY, and any other feel good band from that era. I also love the women like Pat Benetar, Joan Jett, Lita Ford, and so many more. Every now and then I am in the mood for the softer stuff like Barry Manilow and Billy Joel, My husband and I absolutely adore anything from Josh Grobin. However, I am not a fan of rap.
Movies:
I love chick flicks! Steel Magnoilas, Untamed Heart...got to love the stories that make you cry! My Cousin Vinny is hilarious, I watch it every time it comes on. I also love mysteries, and I love tough guy movies and tough chick movies. The Longest Yard, Chronicles of Riddick, Enough.
Television:
The Nanny, Will and Grace, Still Standing, Reba, and I am hooked on Army Wives, and I wish they would bring back Blood Ties!
Books:
Romance Novels! Only smut usually.
Heroes:
My Dad because he has always been there for me and he taught me everything I needed to survive in my adult life, My Mother because she taught me strength thru trials (as she is dealing with a disease that will eventually seal her doom) and stays in such high spirits and grace as she takes one day at a time to battle her disabilities with this disease. My grandmother because she was the religious backbone that held the whole family together and was such a special person that I held so deeply to my heart. I am very proud of my oldest daughter for seeing her dreams through by finishing school and becoming an LPN with an Associates Degree. I'm proud of all my children for doing what they needed to do to make things happen for themselves. I'm thankful for my husband who takes care of me and loves me no matter what.
