About Me

Let's see...what about me...a little over 3 years ago I packed up and moved out here from Missouri. I went to my college graduation in my uhaul. I arrived on Christmas, and got to move furniture while everyone else in my building was happily opening presents. Soon after, I got a great job doing something I was completely unqualified for, got promoted to a position that I WAS completely qualified for (but I hated it) and spent my days there trying to get fired so I could have the severance pay. After months of trying, I finally got laid off! I enjoyed the life of unemployment for about a month - got the wisdom teeth removed, had the most amazing Vegas trip ever thanks to a rockin' man Ryan, and never went to bed before the sun came up. However *sigh* all good things must come to an end - and I had to get a job again and start making money (bbboooooo). Now I work in Marketing, which is good and all - but not what I want to do with the rest of my life.I once read on someone's profile, "I hate to go to bed, but I love to sleep." That pretty much defines me. I love to gamble - the most recent addiction being Santa Anita (it was more accessible than Vegas - but Vegas does deserve a visit in the near future). My parents live in Bangkok - and I've never been there. My brother is out in Baltimore and I've made it my goal in life to be as cool as he is. My favorite drunken phone calls have all come from him. I don't have a gall bladder. It got sick and died. My first and only broken bone was my finger when I was trying out for the LA Amazons. Made the team - but couldn't play due to the damned finger. Dante Hall will be my husband someday - he just doesn't know it yet :) All my friends are getting married and having kids and it makes me feel OLD. 2 years ago i bought a skimboard with the intention to learn, and I still have no idea how to do it. (but my booty has suffered many bruises). Multiple times, I've had all top 10 scores on erotic photohunt. I think that might be a sign that I drink too much - but I really don't drink enough. I work a second job on the weekends that my friends HATE because it cuts into bar/club time - but it does save me money (and pays for those Vegas trips!). I'm a huge Chiefs fan - but my high school mascot was the Broncos. That still makes me cringe.

My Interests

Kansas City Chiefs...what else is there? Also, Baseball, Hockey, Photography, Art, Movies, Bars/Clubs, Music, the list goes on and on...

Music:

I'm an OAR whore. also Dispatch, Southland, Guster. Unfortunately I'm pretty typical here. I like the usual hip-hop/R&;B that gets overplayed in the clubs. Maroon 5, Usher, Black Eyed Peas, Eminem, yadda yadda.... I listen to pretty much anything, though. Seriously. Other faves: John Mayer, Counting Crows, Sublime, Cake, Dave Matthews, Weezer, Green Day, Gavin DeGraw, the list goes on and on...You should go check out Andrew Foshee and Jake Coco on MySpace. They friggin rock, too...

Movies:

So many good movies, so little time. For a while, my favorite movie was Cutting Edge, then Love and Basketball, now I think it's the Notebook. So can you tell I like chick flicks?!? But since I'm a chick, I think that's alright. I like anything, really. some faves: Shawshank, Seven, The Rock, I'm With Lucy, anything with Adam Sandler, Dirty Dancing, Signs, Napoleon Dynamite, Garden State, Shawn of the Dead, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings...shoot, I could go on, you get the idea...

Television:

You mean other than football?!? Everyone should watch LOST &; Prison Break. Good shows. I also watch Simpsons, Conan, OC (damn you Todd!), and a few others I shouldn't admit to.

Books:

I recently finished "Bringing Down the House." Man, makes me wish I was some M.I.T. math whiz...I'm currently reading "The Devil in the White City." I recently read "The Five People You Meet in Heaven," "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime," "Monkey Business," "He's Just Not That Into You" (yeah, boys are so screwed...), "DaVinci Code," and a few others. If you like wacky books...go check out the "Curious Incident...," it's pretty funny.

Heroes:

The Trunk Monkey. www.trunkmonkeyad.com check it out, he'll be your hero, too. Dime is my hero, too. Because I am his. and we live in a fair world.
