I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Someone once asked me one of those big questions....the ones that are supposed to give great insight into your character. He said "what are you most passionate about in life?" The first answer that popped into my head was people....not specific people but humans as an entity....the individual yet collective nature of the human race...the incredible duality of our nature. There are two sides to all that exists, and in my mind-- though I long to dabble in the extreme ends of the spectrum and admire those who do-- I am myself most comfortable finding the center, the balance that comes from accepting all sides. My mind thirsts for knowledge, and my body thrills to new experiences....I am mutable and boredom is two steps away from death. It is simply a slow one. Luckily much fascinates me. I judge very little because I can see and understand all sides to varying degrees...but that does not mean I lack opinions....I have perhaps an overabundance of them. Those who really see me know I am passionate and fiery.... My loyalty is endless until betrayed more than once, and I treasure my friends above all else. I find delight in the small things....stopping to smell the roses clinging to a wall near the side walk--but I find irony in the cliches. I think this myspace "about me" is remarkably unconcise and when I am finally in the mood, I will change it to a witty one-liner. I make up words that sound as if they could be real and should be. I thrive on information and communication of all kinds. I believe in the possibilty of anything... I long to lose myself in the physical but find that my mind has a tenacious hold.....I want to do everything it seems, and I will ...traveling nourishes me on all levels.....I love to dance and have my heart set on argentinian tango, belly-dancing, and flamenco currently. I love outdoors, I love good food....I love combining the two....farmer's markets, picnics, crepes on the sidewalk, gelato on the street...I love the casual: ordering in and curling up with a movie, a night with wine, friends, and board games. The gregarious: nights dancing till you forget yourself, meeting strangers who tell you their life stories. The spontaneous: an afternoon trip to the mountains, down the coast or a trip to the strip club, just because...But I appreciate the delicately planned....it means someone took the time to find out what makes you tick.....overall so much interests me.....the lofty and the low, things that cannot be explained........caring about many without caring what many think....giving respect but first respecting oneself....It is a process, a journey...overall I am just glad to be on it with you fine people.

My Interests

good company, good food, good times, life lessons, all those things not explained by traditional science....astrology, tarot, numerology, crystals...alternative methods of healing, but most of all, people.

You are Strength

Courage, strength, fortitude. Power not arrested in the act of judgement, but passing on to further action, sometimes obstinacy.

This is a card of courage and energy. It represents both the Lion's hot, roaring energy, and the Maiden's steadfast will. The innocent Maiden is unafraid, undaunted, and indomitable. In some cards she opens the lion's mouth, in others she shuts it. Either way, she proves that inner strength is more powerful than raw physical strength. That forces can be controlled and used to score a victory is very close to the message of the Chariot, which might be why, in some decks, it is Justice that is card 8 instead of Strength. With strength you can control not only the situation, but yourself. It is a card about anger and impulse management, about creative answers, leadership and maintaining one's personal honor. It can also stand for a steadfast friend.
