About Me

something I wrote;
[...]

every night unpainted is penance
for canvases blank in my shed
with the budding light dainty comes chance
these nightly mares are but horses led
I tuck the dark veil 'round my naked flesh
and soil the cloth, wet the sheet
and this trident tail, I spin and lash
the shaded flock, up off their feet

hold me! – my mother of the meek
and see! – I bring the sister you seek
a tribade to another with your children present
both son and brother, thus twice incandescent

(extract from "... and I have a fiery cape"

Little Britain
The League of Gentlemen
Carnivale
Sopranos
The Drew Carey Show

Books:

I'm just gonna list the last books I've read;
Neil Gaiman : The Anansi Boys
Good read - just a lil too much Coincidence City for my taste. Falls short of his glorious(!) American Gods book.
Neal Stephenson : The Baroque Cycle 2 - The Confusion
Glorious book - quite different from, but just as good as the first one.
Tony Parsons : Man and Boy
Good, good read - needed something a lil lighter
Khaled Hosseini : The Kite Runner
Man - that was a good book! Definate recommendation!
Marina Lewycka : A Short History of Tractors in Ukranian
Pretty good read - something light after the tome I just finished
Neal Stephenson : The Baroque Cycle 1 - Quicksilver
At a staggering 900 pages of tiny print (3000 with the whole triology) - it's a quite a testimony when I say I wish it was longer
Nick Hornby : A Long Way Down
Good 'nuf read ... just bugs me that nobody ever go anywhere in his books
William Gibson : Pattern Recognition
Whoa - this was good! Quite different from his earlier books ... contemporary - who'd thunk it?
Iain M. Banks : The Algebraist
Best sci-fi I've read in a LONG time ... this was a challenge
Jonathan Lethem : Amnesia Moon
Freakiest book I've read in years - but a great read!

Heroes:

Heck - there's a good-looking guy in the mirror every morning - who's not at all narcissistic (I swear!) :-)
