Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio..Walter J. Brewer aka "Wallabe" stands as one of the few rising artists breaking through the walls of the industry with pure and positive lyrics. He has become well known in the underground of Ohios elite finest. His next challenge will to enter the ranks of those amongst the Midwest.Growing up in the urban environment of Columbus, Wallabe ..however cliche', overcame the drugs, alcohol, and voilence in his community. By witnessing the downfall and destruction not only to society in general, but to the people close to him, Wallabe resisted the temptation of what was confronting him. In the midst of his grandmathers death, on Thanksgiving Day 1995, Walter J. Brewer started venting his anger and frustration on paper, which in turn developed him into the lyrical arsenal of firepower he is today.Being inspired by many artists such as; Marvin gaye, 2Pac, E-40, Rakim, Bob Marley, Lauren Hill, Kanye West, and many others..Wallabe found balance in the delivery of his lyrics, sending a powerful message of positivity and reality for today and future generations. Because of this, Wallabe considers himself to be an "Urban Philospher" along with his partner King Arthur and thier independant label "The Reallest Records". The Reallest Records consist of a few talented artists such as; Wallabe, King Arthur, Stakk Boiz, Big Mar, C-Magic, A.D, Don G, and Crystal Black. Establishing a reputation all over the Midwest, Eastcoast, and Dirty South, led to being nominated for best recording artist in local publication "Columbus Alive" for exceptional promoting of CD's throughout the underground market with over 20,000 copies sold and 6 releases and 1 more on the way. Urban Nation 2, the follow up to Urban Nation 1, will further broaden the prowess and presence of The Reallest Records and Wallabe. This venture will pair Wallabe and the Hosting/Mixing efforts of DJ Con Artist together again for sure fire classic.Since 1997, Wallabe has been ghost writing and performing in numerous venues, drawing bigger and bigger crowds, mostly in part to his stage presence and performance. From clubs to concerts, Wallabe has opened for premier artists such as Beanie Sigel, Ying Yang Twins, Lil Flip and many others. Constantly being reminded of his civic and cultural obligations, he performs each year for the African-American Heritage Festival. Because of Wallabes dedication to youth and crime, he helps promote the Boys and Girls Club of America. Showing even more maturity and commitment, Wallabe participated in the 1st Annual Unity Extravaganza which aligned more than 15 acts and 3 Djs, this past Oct. 2005. This event heralded press reviews and articles in the Urban Trendsetter publication, which further proved that even amidst a slew of performers, Wallabe stood strong and commanded one of the strongest performances of the entire evening alongside King Arthur.Wallabe is one not to sleep on!
